Our general store has had a FPC for $582 dollars so it came home with me yesterday afternoon. Still need to get a optic for it but added a set of flip up sights I had in a AR parts box for the short term . I'll get it on our range today and run a some ammo thru it and see what my wife thinks about it .

Thank you chad . I was looking around for some optic I may have over looked and found a older 2-6x32 pistol scope that only weigh's in at 16.4oz with rings and as it turns out it works rather well for now . I'll probably go with a 1-4x30mm if I find a deal on one during black friday sales .

Every time I take my FPC out I love it more and more. Just such an easy shooting PCC. My son spent 4 in the Army and will soon be joining the National Guard. He took it and and kicked the tires. He liked it too.

If you have a change to grab one, I would suggest you do so. Just a warning, it is not a $3500 high speed low drag operator rifle. If you are okay with that then you too will enjoy it.

Just sayin

I purchased one a week or so ago. Be careful about interducing your wife to the FPC. You may end up buying a second one as I did.
We put inexpensive Romeo MSR's on ours. Have only shot ours out to 75 yards. It will do its job. Enjoy yours!

I did but it for my wife . Her AR15 & AR9 are starting to feel a bit heavy on our range after some time shooting steels .

The FPC is not really that lite as this one does weigh in at 6lb 2.3oz with a loaded 17 round mag but less those loaded 23 round mags that my wife's more comfortable with them in her mag holder on the waist she but the weigh in is with the 2-6 scope. So it is lighter than ether of her AR's but the big difference for her is far less barrel/muzzle weight even with the scope on it !

I think after talking with my wife last night she still prefers the green dot green dot optic she's been using on our fun handguns so I be looking for an enclosed green dot optic that should loss about 14 to 15 oz weight too .

I went back over to our general store to see what rifle red dots they had . Lots of choices but I bought a sig Romeo7 30mm red dot after looking over the functions lens for clarity edge to edge and the base being a QD design . Seemed to be a good to me . They had it priced at $175 . Could have gone cheaper but with the large 30mm lens I figure my wife would still like it and she does . It gets the unloaded weight well in to the mid 5lb range . I bore sighted the optic for what I thought would be a close zero and was spot on at 25 yards .

A neighbor stopped by to asked me about some carbine choices for around the house as we have a few . He Is retired LE but they carried a 12ga pump , no rifles so we went over our carbines and the FPC that he liked . We went our back and he shot a 23 rounds and I ended up talking him over to our general store and he bought a FPC also But he wants a green dot so he has to order one . I loaned him some flip up sights for now .

MY wife fired 60 rounds and is pleased too so I get the AR9 as my fun gun now .

Hi Everyone,
New here so please bear with me. Not sure how to start a new post.
Looking for a Muzzle compensator for my New S/W FPC 9mm.
Thanks

You would get a number of replys starting your own tread but here my reply .

Compensators tend to discharge the exhaust out the top and or sides to reduce muzzle rise . Is that an issue for you ?

I find the muzzle rise to be very minimal with no interest in the high DB compensators give to the shooter and others behind the muzzle and only want to keep the blast going down range . If your going to use your FPC in PPC matches then the choice should be yours as a number of them are available . I have no opinion there . Then there are Liner Comps and others known more as Flash Cans that keep the muzzle blast heading down range .

I've been good with KAK products for years and added the short slime line model linked below .
Gives me some muzzle protection for the FPC .

OR You could get the process started to buy a 9mm suppressor 200 bucks plus cost of the unit . $$$$

Probably in the near future we won't communicate with anything but abbreviations that don't exceed 3 letters.

I just bought one of these yesterday from Cold Creek Outfitters on gunbroker. Here's a pretty good review I found online:

Gun Review: Smith & Wesson M&P FPC Folding Pistol Carbine - The Truth About Guns

I also bought the Bushnell RedDot and UTG mount that are shown in the review, both from Amazon.

Watched a couple videos on youtube, one by Jerry Miculek and another by Hickok45. Knew I had to have one of these. Can't wait to get it and head for the range.

And TLAs (three letter acronyms). Nothing new there though. In the 80s I worked for a company that made missiles and among the many mil specs I encountered there was one for acronyms and initialisms that mentioned TLAs. That was in the 80s and even back then we joked about how many TLAs we used on a regular basis.

I used to work with guys that would ACK and NAK each other in speech, so text seems pretty harmless. But AFAIK, you can RTFM til TEOTWAWKI and not get all of them.

Shot mine today for the first time. Just zeroing with a Vortex Spark II I had sitting around.

No function problems . After a few adjustments , I was getting centered 1 to 2 inch groups at 50 yards. This off a crude bag on a cold windy day. I am sure it would do a little better under ideal condition.

Overall quite pleased with it.

Okay, so I have had an itch that was in need of scratching. I know what the accuracy of the FPC on the close up stuff. With just a dot sight or the pop-up sights I am confident up to probably about 50 yards. I have now switched out those sights for an old Weaver 2-7 scope that was on an old 270 Win. I am going to sight it in and then take it out to 100yrds. Gonna see just how accurate it can be. Of course this is an older scope so it will not be a modern 6-24 kind of magnification but, it should still give me a good idea.
