The most beautiful of all, the queen of your dreams

I find it telling that most guys seem to prefer the "plain" Mary Ann and Bailey over the "gorgeous" Ginger and Jennifer.

So, what does it tell?

"Plain" and "gorgeous" have different meanings to different people. But there is more to it. You also have to add "friendly" and "stuck-up" to the discussion.

Queen Elizabeth

Hard to argue with any of the above, but for me, young Elizabeth Taylor was the most beautiful actress of modern time.

From the starlets of the Golden Age of Hollywood, I still find Joan Bennet one of the most stunning. But as fiasconva mentioned, the sight of Barbara Eden running around in her harem costume and saying "yes master" all the time sure did it to me when I was a 12 year old boy. And we didn't even have a color TV.
Here is Ms. Bennett.

I did not look through this whole thread, but I rarely see her included in one of these-
Lee Remick
At around 12 or 13, I was sure I was in love. Those eyes.....

She did not photograph well for stills, I think because she was probably very self conscious. That's my take, anyway. She could definitely hold up her role in a movie. Dead too soon in her mid 50s.

The one I went to the $.14 movies to see was Dorothy Malone. I was 15. Still (at 78) enjoy looking at Her.

Dorothy Malone in The Big Sleep scene when she lets her hair down, takes off her glasses and gives Bogie the look a starving wolf gives a ribeye!
Nothing more needed to be said.

I saw this pic while scroll into find Dorothy Ms pic above.
Younger Dolly Parton. Although I'm sure there were cosmetics involved she looks more soft and natural. Her neeer looks remind me of a ventriloquist doll. Over sized er….. lips, Yeah that's it, lips. And harder features. Still attractive but not natural.

My father-in-law's dream boat was Hedy Lemarr. I can't fault him on that. She was stunning. Personally, I like that mid 60's-early 70's look. Think Twiggy, Susan Dey and a multitude of others.

I think I saw her in a TV production of "Damn Yankees" with Phil Silvers when I was a boy. When I got a chance to be in a stage production of it I jumped on it.

I always had a crush on Sophia Loren. But Dawn Wells tops them all.
went to a book signing she had some years back and got my picture with her. Sadly, her publicist couldn't figure my phone camera out so I was "forced" to sit and talk with her (arm around her shoulder of course!) for about 5 minutes. Darn the luck!:D
