Only keep 10 guns?

Only picking from what I own:

1. SIG P365
2. Cold Gold Cup in .45 ACP
3. .308 Savage "Scout"
4. Rem 870 in 12 Ga.
5. Marlin XT-22 in .22 mag
6. PSA 10" AR pistol in 5.56
7. Smith 60-15 in .357
8. Walther P-22 w/suppressor (wet work???)
9. Kel-Tec .380
10. Savage Axis in .223

Can't believe there's not a Hi-Power on that list, but I picked the 10 that would be most useful to me.

Ha! What an impossible task. And I don't care what Mike says, it's an amusement!

S&W Model 25 (.45Colt)
S&W M686+ 3" (.357 Magnum)*
S&W M649 (.38 Special)
S&W M5906 (9mm)
Walther CCP (9mm)
CZ 75 compact (9mm)
AR-15 (.223/5.56 NATO)**
Remington M788 (.308 Winchester)
Ithaca M 37 (12 gauge)
High Standard derringer (.22 Magnum)
Beretta Model 70S (.22)
Star Model S (.380)

Okay, that's 12, I cheated..............and I didn't add a .22 caliber rifle. This is too hard! :D

*I guess I should keep my S&W M10 in .357 Magnum. I'll rethink it....

**I have to keep one, yes?

I tried to cover my hunting, fun, and self defense needs in my ten.

Ruger Mk IV 22LR
S&W 686+ 357 magnum
S&W 69 44 magnum
S&W 360J 38 special
Glock 19 9mm
Glock 21 45acp
Anschutz 54 Sporter 22LR
Tikka 595 223 Remington
Tikka 595 308 Winchester
Beretta A300 Outlander 12 gauge

I had the first Ruger 77 International in 308 in Central Ohio. It shot terrible with any of 18 different factory loads. 3" to 4" groups at 50 yards from a rest and scoped with Burris 2-7 compact scope. Traded it off right away and lost no money.

I always heard that 243 was what that gun was designed around.

Post like this only waste time and bandwith.......Ya see "em" all over the gun forums and they are mearningless.

I don’t think it’s meaningless. It’s a fun way of saying what’s your favorite 10 guns. Or what guns are most useful. I mean at the end of the day, nobody here is curing cancer. We’re all wasting time.

Had to do eleven.

Winchester 12ga Model 12 (grandfathers).
30-40 Krag dear rifle (grandfathers).
Winchester Ranger .22 bolt rifle (dads as a kid).
Ruger 10/22 (dad bought it for me at K-mart when I was 12).
Springfield 1911-A1 (bought at the range with my dad).
Taurus Model 66 revolver (girlfriend bought it for me a long time ago).
Ruger Single Six (I bought it for a girlfriend a long time ago).
Walther P-38 byf44 WW2 bring back (story to remain confidential).
Smith Model 49 (very many carry miles).
Smith Model 19-3 (best nightstand piece).
Yugoslavian Mauser (beautiful and a lot of fun).

When I was thinning the herd about 10 years ago, it is sometimes hard to decide what must go. A TOP 10 list wets your whistle, Then a BOTTOM 10 list tells the first 10 to go. I went from 225 down to 183 in about 6 months using this method. I've picked 8 to 10 since then (and am always looking for more). Like I said in the OP, tomorrow's list might be different.

I'm thinking tomorrow's list category will be 10 Guns I'm sorry I sold, and the day after's list will be TOP 10 I'm glad I sold! (open to suggestions)

This sure beats watching soap operas!

Model 28
Remington 870
Super Blackhawk
Single Six
Sig M11
10/22
AR 15 (mine's an Aero)
Rossi .44 92
Sig 716i
Chaippa '86 .45/70

These are my most practical. There are others I like more but this selection would serve me well.

Day three list is about the "Ones that got away", top 10 you wish you never sold. Regular Top 10 lists are still welcome.

1. S&W Model 25-5 6"
2. Weatherby Mark V Safari Grade 375 H&H
3. Weatherby Vanguard VGX 22-250
4. Ruger No 1 Tropical 375 H&H
5. Anshutz 54 Prone Rifle 22 LR
6. Kimber Clackamas Government Model 22LR
7. Walther PPK 1942 Police 32 ACP
8. Walther PPKs W. German 380 ACP
9. S&W Model 39-2 9mm
10. Savage 219 22 Hornet

The question was asked, "How I accumulated 225 guns and stayed married?" She grew up in it! Her Dad is the only non-dealer I know with more guns than me. (Our 4 kids combined have not quite 200) So it's a family tradition.

Since my list was "most practical" to me, I wa going to suggest "most attractive," which might be 10 completely different ones. I didn't want to start a new thread though, considering you're doing a running set of lists.
