This must never be told to the Mrs.
Might cause a run at the jewelry shops or other expensive stores.
Gals who own multitudes of firearms don't have that problem, because they rule the homestead. :D

To put it nicely without earning an infraction...

That is an incredibly rude question. You're better off asking a woman her age, weight and if she's pregnant!

The responses to this topic is kinda interesting. I’m not going to get into the weeds too much, but it reminds me of talking to my dad about any sort of data collection.

Making generalizations here, but I’m assuming most of those who are skeptical of sharing are closer to his age than mine. Having said that, I understand the desire to protect whatever information you find personal, but I also find that: regardless of how you live(unless taking the farthest extremes) there is already so much information collected about you that this type of sharing really wouldn’t provide anything that couldn’t already be held against you (like me asking questions on repairing XYZ model or sourcing parts for ABC model, buying guns/ammo with a CC, using an FFL for sales/transfers, being a member of a gun club) would make this pretty irrelevant.

Ridiculous. It's a poll. If you just answer the poll your name/avatar/alias doesn't appear. Not answering these types of polls is childish at best.

And it's not rude among friends, anyway. Strangers, maybe. :D
