Duly noted . . .

Took the poll, after reading the replies, looks like some members read a post that they don,t agree with instead of moving on -- lets leave a rude or childish reply.
Some are long term members with hundreds of posts.
Always got a reply -- but have something in common.
NON PAYING DONATING member.

Same thing happen on this post

The responses to this topic is kinda interesting. I’m not going to get into the weeds too much, but it reminds me of talking to my dad about any sort of data collection.

Making generalizations here, but I’m assuming most of those who are skeptical of sharing are closer to his age than mine. Having said that, I understand the desire to protect whatever information you find personal, but I also find that: regardless of how you live(unless taking the farthest extremes) there is already so much information collected about you that this type of sharing really wouldn’t provide anything that couldn’t already be held against you (like me asking questions on repairing XYZ model or sourcing parts for ABC model, buying guns/ammo with a CC, using an FFL for sales/transfers, being a member of a gun club) would make this pretty irrelevant.
Exactly... Most here who are probably grown men in their 50-80s are acting like immature children with regards to this post and their behavior. They have been here for a decade or longer posting images of their collections, the new gun they purchased, their family, and themselves ad nauseam during their tenure here.... Others have purchased guns with an 'I'll take it" record of them doing so and/or currently have unsold guns listed in the sales section of the this and other forums.

As others have posted, no one has forced them to participate in this thread if they didn't feel comfortable. Plus, the poll is anonymous if they only choose to participate in the poll without posting any identifying information. I chalk it all up to grown men posting instead of simply moving on because they desire attention and to derail a thread they claim they don't want to participate in.

If you don't like this type of question and thread, why not simply NOT participate? Why did you click on the linked thread title when you knew ahead of time you weren't going to answer the question or liked the topic? Why did you then take time to post to do nothing and provide nothing other than to let everyone else know that you weren't going to participate in this thread? Make it make sense! This is Karen and immature type of trolling behavior that's beneath many of you.

I used to own firearms. I would routinely take them out onto the water in my boat. I spent hours relaxing on the boat, carefully cleaning each firearm. Sadly, the boat sank one day and took all my firearms to the murky depths. I'm lucky to be here. ;) :D
