A friend of mine has a small can containing some .25 caliber rimfire cartridges made in Italy. He’s not sure what they are but trying to interpret the label on the can top, might be some sort of flare (?) cartridge.

Any thoughts if that’s what they are? Or something else? And what sort of gun fired them?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I believe those are for a powder actuated tool- used for driving nails/anchors in concrete, etc.

Wonderful! Thanks 444 Magnum for your very fast Reply and Answer. Never would have thought it to be for a nail driver.

Thanks to for the YouTube link that shows it working in a nail driving tool.

Much appreciated.

That is exactly what they are. If you can read the label of the can it says power cartridges right on it!

Can't Read the Label

The label is not clear enough to read. And being in Italian would make it pretty tough too. Thank you for your Reply.

Maybe you should you get your eyes checked! At least two of us had no problem reading the "Fixrammer" and "Power Cartridges" on the label, they are in English. And my vision is terrible.:rolleyes:

Of course you are correct. And thank you for pointing out my dumbness, imperfect vision and failing to understand and read what's on the label.

I'll be 88 in a couple days and I won't be surprised if it gets worse. If it does, I'm sure you will let me know.

Now, where did I leave my glasses.

Thanks again.
