Planning to list some brass in the classifieds, but not sure how to list it, quantity wise. I don't have a 9mm, but have about 2750 pieces of brass for one. Would it be better to list it in quantities of 250, 500 or more? I realize that some shoot a bunch of one chambering, but others shoot less and don't want to purchase as much brass at one time. Thoughts? TIA.

Do 500 per bag. 100 rounds of 9mm brass is hardly worth buying or selling. The real reloaders will want 500 or more.
The USPS small flat rate box holds 500+ pieces of 9mm brass, just for reference.
I buy pistol brass 2000 at a time and load it in the same numbers at a time.
With rifle brass I’m generally inclined to buy as much as will fit in a large USPS flat rate box to save on shipping. The retailers I deal with generally bundle accordingly and or note how many cases will ship in a flat rate box.
If you want to address 27 boxes of 100 and oneof 50 rounds, knock your self out but it’s a lot trips to the post office and a lot of extra work. You’d be better off selling it all together or no less than 1000/1000 and 750.

Finding someone that wants 9mm brass will be the trick. I put mine in the scrap bucket and get about $2 a pound at the recycling place.

I agree with others here. Determine what you want for the brass and what shipping is going to cost. 9mm is so inexpensive, the freight is often as much as the brass so finding the balance between the amount and the shipping costs. i.e 500 pieces at $7.50 shipping isn't a great deal but 1000 pieces at that cost keeps the cost per piece down. Hope that makes sense. Around my parts, we have to work to give 9mm away. I wet clean a bunch all the time from the range and have a hard time getting guys to take it deprimed, wet cleaned and free!

When I needed some 9mm I hit an indoor range at a slow day and offered $50 for a few 5 gallon buckets snow shoveled off the floor.
I came out very well stocked with 9mm and 5.56 while 45 ACP made an admirable showing.
The haul also pleasantly surprised me with a fair quantity of 38 special.
these cartridges are so abundant in the wild, that one cannot swing a dead cat without hitting them.
that said ... eye up diamond K brass for a feel of the prices and shoot for something between that and break even

So I have 4 bags of 9mm, with approximately 700 in each by weight and am thinking $50 a bag shipped. I also have 2 bags of 45 ACP with about 560 each, by weight and am thinking $60 each shipped, as well as 1 bag of 496 pieces of 45 Colt for $60 shipped. All brass is once fired, wet tumbled and deprimed. Thoughts, before I get all twangled up and decide I'm out of line in a classifieds post?

I'd agree with this. I usually buy 1,000 if it's easy to find and inexpensive brass. Something like .41 Magnum you can sell 100.
100 9mm's on GunBroker sell for less than the shipping. I see 3,000 for $58 + $19 shipping. No bids.

An outdoor range I shoot at occasionally has 9mm brass all over the place. There are brooms around the concrete floored bench areas for sweeping the brass from underfoot on the concrete into the grass.

Agree. Luckily I sold all of the 45acp locally, but thinking of listing the 9mm as one lot for $150 or so, just to move it. I did list the 45 Colt, at what I thought was a fair price. I took on this brass for a debt and have more than enough of my own to begin with, but am hoping to get my original investment back.

FWIW I had 45 lbs. of clean unprocessed 40 SW brass that needed a home. Didn't want to mess with it. Scrapped it 2 weeks ago for $2.50/lb. That is 2.5 cents each. 9mm at that rate is 2.2 cents each.

I buy quite a bit of 9mm range brass since wife and I shoot competitively. Never paid more than .03 piece. Just acquired 1000 pcs of LP .45 tumble cleaned for .05. Those are my price break points to keep in mind.
Recently met a fine gent at the skeet field (armed postal insp) that scrapes up all their practice range brass and "gave" me 2 full 5 gallon buckets free! So I'm good for awhile lol.

In my experience NOBODY is going to pay $50 for 700 pieces of 9mm brass. That puts it at 7 cent per piece. Going rate is real close to scrap price---around 2 cents each.
Figure out how many fit in a small flat rate box---I think I was getting 900 in there if you tape the box first, then fill and shake until it bulges.
Even today I can buy polished, roll sized, de-primed, 9mm brass for $30 per 1000 and my local guy also adds an extra 50 just in case he missed something or miss counted.
