Eye Opening Visit To Cabelas Today.

Sad. But not surprising.

And with enough crazies around I can sorta understand wanted to be armed at a gunshow. There's one going on in Richmond this weekend but I think I will pass.

One of the biggest dealers of Glock's and the like is at every show I have been to locally. Of course he had a sidearm on. He went to show it to a potential buyer and ND into the concrete floor. This was in a smaller town using rented town facilities. That was the last show the town has ever had. Can't imagine why anyone in his right mind would have a chamber loaded firearm in a gun show of all places for any reason.

I've attended a number of gun shows and had my EDC with me.

Yup- I keep a loaded EDC in my possession at gun shows. It's not leaving my pocket, so is not any concern of the show promoters. If you ever went to the gun shows held at the Denver Merchandise Mart, you will understand- hood rats patrolling the parking lots asking "watcha get?" In general, patronizing "policies" that impact my safety and security are fully ignored to the best of my ability in all scenarios.

I picked up a Marlin 60 at a large gunshow in Jacksonville and in a Pavlovian reflex, pointed the muzzle upward and worked the action. It flipped a live .22 round out on the table!

I set the butt of the gun on the table and shucked 6 more rounds out into the guy's lap.

I then made a very lowball offer which he quickly accepted....:D

Call the cops and report the guy for aiming a gun at you.

A policeman happened to be in the same shop where I was perusing the stock when a moron pointed a gun at me. I immediately and loudly told him to point elsewhere, which got the cop's attention. The moron thought it was funny to point the gun at me again jokingly -- and the cop did not.

I do not really think an arrest would have taken place, but the officer did a great job playing it up, releasing the moron only after I finally "reluctantly" agreed to not press charges...

It's hard to teach a moron anything, but this one was at least temporarily impressed.
