I just got off the phone with him. Told him to send me a text in his words of his prognosis.

He actually sounds better today than he has in a week. Rusty's a fighter!

"I'm gonna be in the hospital for a while and I have my work cut out for me.

It appears to be pancreatic cancer. They have to determine where it is in the pancreas and if it has spread. It is now a waiting game. I will hit this head on.

My bed feels like a sack of toasters."

Wood714 If I read your post correctly you are fighting medical issues also. So sending prayers to you and Rusty.

prayers to continue. I'm now in the 2 a day mode. Rusty, stay strong. there is lots of prayers, good wishes and love headed your way. I have increased the number of beers I drink every day in the hope that it can , in some way, help to speed up your recovery.

Just got this text from Rusty.

"Update:
Early this morning I had my endoscopy. They placed two stints to unblock the bile. They also took two brushing of the tumor on my pancreas. Cancer cells produce "juice" and they need to determine what kind, how much and if and where it has spread.

I also just returned from ultrasound where they ascertained that the large blood clot in my leg is shrinking and the bruising is dissipating.

The pain has lessened already.

A good day so far and quite encouraging."
