Yes, I'm gonna reshape them. The next (1st) step will be to soak them in lacquer thinner to remove any coating they might have and get to bare original wood. Then some rough sanding with the belt sander but as the sander is in garage (unheated), that's for a break in the weather. Their intended use is for on a nickeled 581.

Made it home

I left yesterday around 7:00am and arrived home just before 4:00.

Hit a couple of iced over bridges just before hitting Charleston, WV but nothing major.

Just in time to see the first storm here with snow/ice tomorrow morning.

Been 2-3 years since snowed here.

Out here is Ashtabula County we have had over 24” fall. With evaporation and settling, we currently have 6-8” on the ground. Expecting another 1-5” tonight.

I have a wonderful 2 stage snowthrower. It does most of the work. I shovel close to the house and barns.

The snow thrower is self propelled which helps as the torn rotator cuff makes shoveling and pushing a bit less fun.

Parking lot off Eastwood was jammed early unless the lot in the field off Bagley was a big mud puddle. The Contender sold at the last minute here Friday morning and sold the gun I took sold to a friend. We parked next to each other and he bought it in the parking lot. Didn't have to carry it.
