Rt. knee replaced 09-1000 22 Jan, repeated bouts of nausea kept her in recovery until 2:30 PM, home by 3.
Rented a lift chair for the living room and got her situated. Twilight zoning for several hours into the evening we got her fed and moving around the house. As referenced in the shoulder thread the meds require significant tweaking to the timing as some were not started until today due to overload from the procedure.
Had a good overnight, I couch crashed a few feet away, woke up several times to fetch ginger ale and crackers, ice packs, etc. She continued to move well with her walker winding her way thru the house to the bathroom.
Will leave shortly for the first PT session, she is currently reading aloud the questionnaire, i.e. "What are your goals?". I started singing "I like the nightlife, I wanna boogie...". She laughed and wrote it down.
She's looking forward to that first BM. Amazing how priorities can shift
Spare a thought, if it pleases ye, for Marianna's clean heal and successful outcome to the trial ahead. Our spirits are strong but any assist is appreciated.
