Anyone carry a Third Generation pistol? I have a few in the rotation. Today, it is a CS9D. Compact, concealable, 9mm, and DAO. It and the 3953, 3914 (DAO version) are among my favorites.

I tried....

Around 1993 I had a 4006 and it was a big ole chuck of stainless steel. It found it's way into the truck console as it was a burden.

10-15 years later tried again with a 1076 and found the 3rd gen trigger just couldn't equal my Commander. The 10mm was a novelty, but super cool.

I never had any of the smaller guns, maybe I would have carried one of those longer.

A 3913 w/ Hogue wood grips and the flush fit 7rd mags has been my primary EDC since 1989/90. with 1/2 spare 8rd mags

Also sometimes carry a Performance Center Shorty-9 [since 1995] or my FrankenSmith 6915;... a 6906 frame with a 915 slide.... to mimic my all steel PC SD-9.

Mostly IWB in Spark Summer Special or Executive Companions.

When the Glock 26/27s came out you could pick up "slightly used/unused" 69xx and 39xx guns for a couple hundred bucks...... I took advantage of the opportunity!

Love my 3913. Perfect balance of size, thinness, lightweight yet still shootable. Great pistols.

Kind of always thought I'd get a 3953 too, but never did.

Still have a 3953 and a 6906 for ccw.
Wouldn't mind a 3913, unfortunately they seem to cost more than the Hellcat and Sig.

A 3913 and a 6906 go with me Concealed....in a Kramer #3 IWB holster
Many of us still think the 3913 is the King of concealed carry!!

The alloy-framed single stack pistols are MUCH easier to carry. That said, 1076 would be a badass carry gun.

BTW, 3rd gens go into leather....just sayin'!

I cannot find any good leather appendix carry holsters for Third Generation pistols. The wing/claw aids concealment.

I have a sort of shapeless clip Bianchi that works for very small semi-autos but Kydex works best for AIWB. In fact, I had them custom molded by Watchdog Tactical in Charlotte.

The 3914DAO is an outstanding carry gun, and is miles ahead of it's "replacement", the underwhelming Shield series.

Agreed 100%. I have a carry 3914DAO, and a backup, and a backup backup :)

Also have a very early one that belonged to Roy Jinks. This one is not DAO.

I occasionally carry one of my 3914DAO pistols in a TT Gunleather OWB Scabbed with a matching double magazine pouch. Old skool leather still available for some Second and Third Gen pistols.

Yes, TT Gunleather has great Third Generation option. None for AIWB. Have several for OWB.
