Bye Bye Bullseye

Since China was our major supplier, and now they have cut us off, I'm not holding my breath.

It doesn't matter what product we are talking about, we NEED to go back to making stuff in the good old USA.

And on another topic, now that Vista Outdoors is no longer a USA company, what will be the outcome of that?

(just wondering, I have no knowledge, just fears)

AMEN! That is exactly what needs to happen, and supplies may not return to normal until it does happen.

Since Hodgdon gets their powder from Australia will the tariffs affect them?

THAT made me set aside my beer and open up my locked gun powder locker. Here's what I found....

ALL my Hodgdon powders (Titegroup, HP31 and Win231) were labeled "Made in USA".

ALL my IMR powders were all labeled "Made in Canada".

I had no idea. Made me open another beer.

PS - it may not be a problem for me. I have a 10 year supply and I'm 75. But I truly worry about all you guys....

Amen!

FWIW:My previous post about Hodgdon powders being made in Australia was wrong It seems that only some are. The Armory Life Magazine in 2021 said the following were made in Australia:
Trail Boss, BM2, BenchMark, 8208XBR, Clays International, Universal, H4227, H4198, H322, 8208XBR, H4895, Varget, H4350, H4831, H4831SC, Retumbo, H50BMG.
IDK if this is still the case.
The only one I currently use is Varget.

I'd heard that Bullseye had become unobtanium, I went to a gunshow this past Saturday and a vendor had 10 1# of Bullseye on his table. I bought one pound for $45.00 and was glad to get it.

There is still some out there, but you will pay more for it then it cost before. Last I bought was an 8 lb keg for $125.00 IIRC.

about time that discontinued, it never metered right, there are way way better powders for a fast pistol powder

Works for me............2.8 grains of Bullseye with a 148 Grain DEWC in a ,38 Special. Only 15 yards, but that is a shaky old man with glasses can do. I shoot it double action, must be why being shaky helped......
