Smith & Wesson "Gun Cabinet"

I just got an email from Smith & Wesson about a group they call the S&W gun cabinet. Supposedly a news and discussion group. It said if you join they have swag giveaways and drawings for gift cards and etc. It did look legit.
To join they have a survey to fill out. I went and checked it out and it had standard questions, but then it got to a point where they wanted to know how many guns you have!
I closed the window and moved on. Seemed a little invasive to me.
Any of you folks have any experience with this?

I actually joined just to see if it is a place to have a honest discussion about QC and Customer Service...Probably not, but took a chance.

I have been a member since they set it up. It was interesting for awhile, but it takes too much time to stay up with all the surveys and commenting to get any of the perks. If I had that time I wouldn't mind. I'm still a part of it, I just don't participate as much as I used to.

After examining the sight and not finding any "about us" information or address information I am confident it is a sight to collect information to pass on to people who will be contacting you to sell you something.
