My cat ignores the nice clean water bowl next to his food bowl, but can't wait to go outside and drink scummy water from the bird bath. I wonder if that's some kind of primeval thing connecting domestic cats to the wild?

Our cat will ignore his water bowl and drink from the toilet if I forget and leave the lid open. He's even been known to force it open with his nose to stick his head in. When I use the toilet he will stand and watch, then when I flush it he will run around the toilet and try to catch the swirling water as it goes around.

Cats are weird.

Milo, my gf's next-door neighbor's mercurial black cat. Part charmer, part thug. We were worried about him recently as he had a UTI and was laid low for a while. But he seems to be back on form now
