Bodyguard Review

I shot almost 300 rounds through it with no glitches and added it to my CCW. Yes, it shot about 2 inches left of center at 21 feet.

Kind of off topic but dose S&W have no one staff with an imagination?

Good point. I recently ordered a holster for my Bodyguard 2.0 The person taking the order confused it with the Bodyguard revolver. Fortunately, I caught the error but it could have totally messed up my order.

Maybe the folks at S&W wanted to have a "sick joke"...or just confuse some folks regarding to which firearm we are referring....

I dunno....the "2.0" on the slide is annoying enough. LOL.
That was the "no imagination" indicator for me....and if they improve a little QC, will we get a "Bodyguard 2.1" or whatever? :)

I very much enjoyed your reply post!

Back on topic, I have viewed quite a few reviews on this handgun. Most don't do much for me....consistent with most reviews on any firearm I am considering or have considered.

Taking a close look at the gun in person and being able to shoot it at LGS are what helped me decide on purchasing as a BUG to be carried in a pocket holster.

Overall, I have been happy with the pistol, but I have not put enough rounds through it yet to confirm that I will be carrying as a dedicated pocket BUG.

My son bought one two weeks ago based on his online research and the support of the female side of the couple who own our local gun store.

We both fired it today and our first impressions are that it is a good, small, EDC gun. It could use some breaking in but it fed and shot flawlessly about 60-70 rounds of CCI Blazer and Winchester BEB, plus a few Federal HydraShok. Although it did seem to want to shoot left of POA at 30'.

We'll most likely take about two more range sessions shooting at least 100 rounds each time and then look at possible sight additions. I tend to like the XS sights so that's what I will probably recommend.

I may even upgrade my deep cover gun from a Seecamp to this.

Point taken, fatcat. Now there are two BodyGuard autos, which are nothing alike, save for caliber. More confusion when ordering sights or holsters.
Now, for all that, I'm happy with the BG2.0 as a tiny, pocket carry.
