Taurus 82: worth it?

I have been seriously thinking about one of the Taurus snub nosed .357s. The only thing that has held me back is some of the recent horror stories about their customer service. The odds of needing customer service seems to be like the flip of a coin.

I have the Titanium version of the 651. Great gun but my ears ring for 2 days after shooting .357's and the recoil is so ferocious that it's hard to keep it on-target. Finally decided to either stop shooting it or upgrade my earmuffs.
I usually shoot 38 spl. in my snubby - it's cheaper & easier.. Saving my .357 "grudge tips" for BIG GAME.

I don't worry about customer service when I buy used. None of my used REVOLVERS (I've checked carefully before buying) ever required work. I have done work on all my self loaders - that needed it. Before buying new I've done research on durability & service. Dealing with all Customer Service in general - is not something I enjoy.

Some companies don't know the difference in customer service and servicing the customer.
