Sgt. Mike Viet Nam Humor

You might get some negative feed back on that one AJ but I think it's FUNNY!!

I thought it was funny too. We all make jokes at the others expense about their services. If someone does not like it, then I guess they can complain. By we, I mean the guys who are servicemen not folks who did not serve.

My father and son both retired from the USAF. I guess the Air Force thing skipped a generation. I'll have to send that chart to LtC. (Ret.) Tom to see what he thinks of it. I can see the AF attraction.image1.jpeg

My Family served in all branches of the Armed Services.
A standing joke dropped on me was to be a Coast Guard Member I had to be at least six foot tall as if my ship sunk, I could wade to shore. ( I was 5ft 10 inches). My Father was a "Horse Soldier" in His young life. The day after Pearl Harbor He went to join up and was told He was too old and there were no more horses in the Cavalry. He asked "How In The Hell are we going to fight a war with no Cavalry ?" He then joined the Merchant Marine.

No offense intended but always heard Coast Guard called “ Shallow Water Sailors”. Had a very good friend that was Coast Guard armorer that taught me a lot back in the day at the range. We shot a lot and used to shoot the scoring target in the upper left side of a B-27 at 25 yards. Never forget one day when we shot the scoring target into a ragged hole. Brought target back to line with the electric trolly and some guy in next lane said,” didn't even hit the target”, never forget the look on his face when we said we were shooting at the scoring target…..
