Best place to live?

That’s funny. I often say NY has it all. Coast line, lakes, mountains, farms, rolling green hills. It’s really beautiful. The problem with NY is that it’s in NY.
And then there is that malignant tumor NYC.
Kinda’ like what Memphis is to Tennessee. Most Tennesseans would be in favor of Arkansas annexing the Memphis, TN area into their state.
But the Arkies are way too smart for that. Besides, they already have West Memphis, which may be better than the part of the city on the east side of the river.
I lived in Memphis 2002-2004 and worked all around the surrounding area while employed by a non-destructive testing company. Never had any trouble but I was VERY CAREFUL and aware of my surroundings. Especially when out on gamma radiography jobs late at night in industrial areas. Usually had my 1911 .45 on me on those jobs.
One big welding shop we had to go out to late at night was in a bad area down by the airport. It was a block away from a daycare center. First and only Day Care I have ever seen that had 7 foot high white concrete walls around it with spirals of concertina wire all along the top. I have pictures somewhere.

Well, I believe the 1st comment said PA, I must agree as I’ve lived here all my life. I did a six month stay in off the Wash DC beltway, and a few months in Ohio (my second choice) on the lake in Catawba. Our camp was in Crawford County where I spent at least a fourth of my first 20 years. That was in a snow belt area but the best place in my memory. I grew up in Beaver County and pretty much lived there most of my life until I started working in Pittsburgh and married a customer’s employee in’98. And if I have to live in Pittsburgh, our area was built on the Stanton Heights golf course. It’s like a wild life refuge here, and my freezer would definitely be full of venison if I liked it.
If/when I move it’ll be North a tad. Not much further than I80, but still on this side of the state. I would go South Carolina where my sister lives, but not Charleston, further inland. But too many creepy things that can kill you. Being found dead with my pants down in the bathroom would be embarrassing.

Currently on Ga. Fl line on the coast. Mosquitos can be kept away with Thermo Cell and not many gnats. Usually have a nice breeze but going to move back to woods part of Fl. close to gun buddies.

My post was about total population...yours is about population density...apples and oranges...I know you hate everyone and everywhere outside of the perfect paradise muntana...but try to stay focused!!!!!!!!!!!!
Population density is what matters. If a tiny little state has 700,000 people it is crowded

I think density can be very regional. Especially in a state like NY. There’s NYC, Albany, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. NYC is obviously huge and people are packed in like sardines. The next 4 are small cities. In fact it’s crazy that Buffalo has a football team. Much of NY is rural and even remote. Especially in the Adirondack, Catskills, and Allegany Mountain regions.

Hey Everyone, I live in Missouri born and raised, we have some of the best gun rights gun shows A True 4 Seasons Great Fishing and Hunting. I'm 24 and have no ties to the area I have Experienced all Missouri has to offer Outdoors. I want to try another Great state for a while any suggestions?

Is a must for me
Maine is still rather 2nd Amendment friendly although with the influx of Communists in the last few years we’ve seen some left leanings in our legislative laws.
Hopefully with the battles our Governor has had with President on National TV showing her true colors, our next state election will change the outlook.

The lunatics in Augusta were considering a bunch of anti-gun laws that might make Gavin Newsome blush and they did push through that garbage 3-day waiting period. Yes, that has been halted by a judge at least temporarily. Unless you buy from the 🤬 at the Cabelas in Scarborough.
