Bob would be amused.

I've always thought that only one comedian out of every twenty, 5%, was truly funny; the rest were pretty much duds. Bob Newhart was easily one of the 5%.

A lot of what we laughed at with Newhart was his reaction (and repeating) parts of conversations he had on the phone. It was a brilliant way to produce comedy and induce laughter. He was the voice of sanity in an insane world.

To me, one of the best show finale was the ending of the Bob Newhart Show.
It was all a dream and it was brilliant.
