Seecamp 32

Did you get it?
Still working on it. I haven’t contacted him yet, but in his ad he stated he wanted to trade for a glock 48. I found one locally for $500 and contacted that guy, but he hasn’t gotten back to me. I’ll contact him (the Seecamp guy)tomorrow and probably just do a straight cash deal. Trying to save a little bit with the convoluted trade thing probably will just complicate the deal.

Just picked it up and driving home with it.

My little Seecamp runs 100% on Speer Gold Dot. Haven't had a chance to try other loads yet. It was an impulse buy a few years ago and makes a great little pocket gun, either as a second or as the only when dress attire requires.

Mine runs on Gold Dots just fine too. This has been my 3rd gun on many occasions in the past. It sits in the safe these days. I did get it out and let another officer shoot it a few weeks ago when we had quals. He had never seen one and wanted to shoot it.

The bad part was it still smells like my armpit. Oh well.

Here’s my complete haul. The Milford pistol with 2 mags, a DeSantis pocket holster, a Bianchi OWB, a factory mag pouch, and he threw in a Beretta Tomcat belt pouch for good measure. I also got 82 rounds of Silver Tips, 40 rounds of Speer GD and 50 rounds of Fiocchi HP. He also drove up pretty far north of Naples to meet me in Fort Myers, which was very gracious on his part, given the usual Friday afternoon SW Florida traffic. Saved me a couple hours of sitting in traffic. IMG_8187.jpeg

Man, you did good.

I have a 2005 380, 2011 380, a 2024 380 (Serial # Trump5), and a 1993 .32. I find these guns to be very simple to troubleshoot and fix yourself if anything starts to act up. I have a box of replacements parts, springs, etc. I had a problem with my 1993 380 where the slide when downrange after firing my normal carry ammo. Upon inspection, the slide retention plunger had worn down over all these years. I ordered a new on with the spring, replaced it, put in a new XP spring from Seecamp, and it is back to perfect. That old 380 has been shot a lot and I would think after 30 years, it needed a little maintenance. Previously I had just swapped out the recoil springs. that is the one I carry most often as it is just my favorite. I don't find the recoil bad at all once I figured out that I need to keep a thumb forward grip, which seems to keep it from snapping the web of my hand as hard. Here are my three 380s. I have not shot the "Trump" one. That is just for kicks. I somehow managed to get it for $500 NIB on a gunbroker auction.

Very nice, I see you have a set of Brian’s grips, and Hedley holster. I miss Robert, and happy that Lisa K kept it going. She does beautiful work. I thought Seecamp changed the slide retention plunger?
Robert and Lisa K made several for me. Brian had made quite a few grips and holster for me, for several different guns.

They did indeed. When I communicated with them, I wanted to see if I could just resolve this myself rather than send it to them. Jennifer asked the gunsmith about what my plan was to correct it, and he said that is exactly what he would have done if I sent it back. Jennifer said that she hoped the new plunger would work on this old of a gun and to let her know if it did resolve the issue. It did, and I told her. It does make it a little more finicky to disassemble the gun, but the slide is well anchored now. Comparing the new and old part, I could see why it had finally worn to the point of needing replacement. I have a couple of spares in my parts kit now in case I run into this on one of my other Seecamps. Someday, I need to get them all out with all the holsters and mags and take a family photo like you have. I want to add 2 more .32s to my group and am on the hunt for a couple of Milfords.

And I sure do miss the old Seecamp forum. I read through every post over the years. I have considered seeing if they would allow me to have all the old files to see if I could at least extract all the old posts and build an archive so at could go back and have that resource for reference purposes. I would post it up on a page on my business website for all to see or download.

That would be really nice!

An early holster for Seecamp, Larry had Strong make them.
More of Brian’s work for me, he did the Strong influence on a Gator headplate got me.
Then the last was out of MA. IMG_5909.jpegIMG_5907.jpegIMG_5908.jpegIMG_5911.jpegIMG_5912.jpegIMG_5910.jpeg
