I picked this up today for $650 OTD. Has some wear. Under the grips is someone's initials, last name, and badge number, so I'm assuming it was someone's duty gun. Timing & lock-up is good and has some really nice bluing (once I cleaned it up). Didn't really see any flame cutting, so it may not have digested many if any .357 mag rounds. Dates to 1973. I've had a few 4" 19's come and go over the years. I'll try and hold onto this one.

Opps, looks like I put this in the wrong section.

A pretty thing and great price IMHO! I really like the darker stocks like yours.

Nice. Those are pretty rare in my area. I had one back in the early 90's that I got from my now ex-brother in-law. Of course, that was the only gun my ex-wife wanted during our divorce in 2008 (since it came from her brother). Been without a 2 1/2" ever since. Well, I did just pick-up one of these (19-9), but I'm not sure it counts.

Congrats on acquiring a beautiful Model 19 at a great price. I have a 1973 vintage -3 as well, but it bears the marks of long service in a duty holster.

Nice 19...
My 1970 19-3 strapped with some stag.

Y’all make me want to beat my old 19-3 snub for being so ugly. Not really, I like the Roscoe a lot. Picked it up cheaply from a collector/dealer at a gun show. He had taken it in on trade and wanted to blow it back out as it was not near a condition he wanted on his table. A little rough finish, grips solid but minor chips, excellent action and function. Really good carry piece you are not worried about, and did I mention very fairly priced?
