I spent this last week in the Chequamagon National Forest and Lake Superior area of Northern Wisconsin. Among the many conifers trees of the National Forest there were a few deciduous trees. A surprising number of them were sporting yellow/orange/red leaves. Fall is on the way!

Yes, and the aspens here in the southern Rockies are starting to get a tinge of yellow too. It was 32 degrees here a couple mornings ago.

Central Texas is still in the 90s
I have had enough of the 95 degree weather here. Ready for some cooler days! Humidity has made it tuff. Full sunshine has added to the intensity. Friday was better. Temperature was down a little and there were clouds.
It is still jungle like in N. Fl. too.
We're seeing some yellow/red leaves here in the East Texas outback as well, but it's mainly from a shortage of rain. Temps still in the 90s for a couple more days, then some clouds, lower temps (mid-upper 80s) and maybe some rain.

It's finally cooled off up here, and no smoke lately. NW Wi has some beautiful areas, especially in the fall.

It's my favorite season and I hope we get a "real" fall this year here in Virginia…
We had a rare August 'cold front' come through recently. Did not do anything for the temps, just dumped 2.4 inches of rain, Which we needed. It has been a fairly wet summer for us this year.

Woke up this morning and had to put on slippers and a light jacket to have my coffee on the deck at our home in central Wisconsin. There have been a lot of geese flying lately, the tomatoes are ripening fast, and we're losing about 3 minutes of sunlight a day. The air feels crisp. I haven't had the A/C on in a week now. It's a glorious time of year.
Well it's finally fallen out of the hundreds and down to the 90's-80's (just being a sour puss-it's not that bad today). I can't wait for fall! Supposedly got a cool front on the way in. Yay!
My last deer hunt and last elk hunt are so close I can smell them.
