How do you like yours? Any problems?I'm late to the show......mine is a 29-10.
Good Question ...but they are Not exactly alike .I know Model 29 is blued and Model 629 is stainless. Other than that, are they EXACTLY the same? So, same dash model years, same upgrades on the same dash models at the same time?
Don't forget nickel plated. I have nickel plated 29. Purchased new in '79 or '80.I know Model 29 is blued and Model 629 is stainless. Other than that, are they EXACTLY the same? So, same dash model years, same upgrades on the same dash models at the same time?

What prompted this question? I'm just curious.
Current production 29s and 629s are largely the same. The 629's are all round butts and most of the 29's are square butt.I know Model 29 is blued and Model 629 is stainless. No problems at all. It shoots great and is beautiful. My favorite load is 44spl with a 250 gr. Keith style bullet. This is the Skeeter Skelton load. How do you like yours? Any problems?
The 629 no dash was only made for three years ('79-'82). The 29-2 were made for 20 ('62-'82). So, there are a lot more 29-2 around compared to the 629ND. Also, the 629ND 4" & 8-3/8" were only made the last year before the 629-1 came out. Making them very collectable.I would think a 29-2 and a no dash 629 would be pretty comparable.
