As it happens, I e-mailed both my US senators today, just to explain to them that I was born in liberty and am not willing to accept anything less for myself, my children, or my grandchildren.

So far, I've received one form-letter response from a "do not respond" e-mail machine.

I doubt 99% believe the foreign troops in charge aspect of it either Rick. But it wouldn't be the first time tortured logic has been used in halls of justice to accomplish ends which otherwise would have been impossible via a popular vote.
Witness how many times, and in how many ways Californians have said "no" to boys in high heels getting married? Hasn't stopped the boys wearing the stiletto's yet, has it? Perhaps realizing it's impossible to undo things from within, the next tact will be to try it from without?
