NHL STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS 2011

I'm gonna grill up some bratwerst and have some chips and wash them down with some Sam Adams. I want a real simple dinner so I don't miss any of the game. You guys will probably have your dinner before the game but it starts at 5 for us west coasters. I will probably fire up the grill during the first period and time it so the eats are ready before the puck drops in the 2nd period.

Just over 3 hours now.:D

GO BRUINS.

The time zone thing really mess me up, I just can't imagine a hockey game starting at 5 PM, that is only during the playoffs correct?

All the western games start at 7:00 but since I pretty much only watch the Bruins they start at 5:00. Aside from my S&W's and 1911's my one splurg is the NHL package through Comcast. I get to watch most of the games on the NESN brodcast with Jack Edwards and Andy Brikley. I know alot of people don't like the way Edwards calls the games but I think they make a great team. I like that Edwards gets excited. He really enjoys the game.

Sounds pretty good, I really won't have to crumble the muffins, they sort of fall apart once they are dry by just touching them. No problem with the eggs, they are always fresh as i have about 6 pigeons nesting on the back porch. There use to about 20, but a man must eat.:D

Pigeon eggs over easy and grilled pigeon breasts. What better way to start the day :D

As they say "Rome wasn't built in a 7 game series.:D

So we are trailing 2-0:(
Strato:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Even with this loss I liked what I saw, and a few things I didn't like. Back to Bean town empty handed:(

Another very good game, we are getting close:D

Unbelieveable, how hard they all played for 3 periods, the end just seemed too easy. . but we'll take it just the same . .

I have nothing but respect for Mr Thomas but that was a bad decision on his part to leave the goal untended to attempt a check

I had to watch the game off the DVR. Had to go out and didn't get back till game was over.:(

Congratulations to the Canuck fans in the thread.

Again, both teams played well but Vancouver was a bit better than the Bruins for quite a bit of the game. The Bruins seemed to lose there leggs in the 3rd period. As far as OT, Thomas made a bonehead move that cost the game. Of course the Bruins won the face off and gave it away.

We Bruins fans can only hope they pick up thier game on Monday. Lucic and a couple of the other Bruins played great as well as the defense for the most part. They saved Thomas bacon on a few occasions. Is he getting over confident?

Vancouver surely has a well balanced crew, speed and quick execution and a top shelf goaltender. They are showing why they were number 1 throughout the league during the regular season.

We'll fight to the end:D

PS Both games in Vancouver were great to watch, typical Stanley Cup play by both teams.
With 2 loses, I am still satisfied with the way the Bruins have played, even Tim Thomas, the move he made to lose the game was I guess what he thought best. If he caused Burrows to lose the puck, it would have been considered a great save. GO BRUINS:D:D:D

I agree. It was really better then many finals. It's not one sided at all. Both teams are very well matched and both game could have gone either way. The Canuck sure came out with a physical game and out hit the Bruins big time, especially in the 1st period. I really thought the Bruins could match that with thier heavy hitters. Lucic seemed to live up to that. Maybe the Bruins bring Shawn Thornton back? He can hang out in front of the net with the best of them.
