I have one M&P pro and plan to pick up 9c-great guns and I love s&w. Today I held a glock 20 gen 4 and I have to say I would love to have a 10mm 15 round semi auto. The size of the grip on the g20 is fine. The problem is those stinking finger ridges. The peaks of the ridges line up on the center or middle of my fingers-in other words instead of my fingers being between the ridges they are on top of them. I cannot see this being comfortable after a hundred+ rounds. One of the guys in the store had a glock where the local gun smith removed the ridges and it felt ok but still nothing like an m&p. I know this is the s&w forum but I also know that a lot of you like glocks. Have any of you had your glock grips modified if so tell me about it.

Quite a few gunsmiths offer grip reductions on Glock pistols, and I would be willing to bet you could find one who would remove the finger grooves and leave the profile like the Gen 2 Glock without otherwise reducing the size, if that is what you want. Robar would be the first place I would start if I really wanted to make that modification.

It's a polymer frame, any number of people modify the grips, removing the finger grooves is pretty common.

Grip modification and adding a beaver tail, that may be an expensive solution.

I feel you if the could get a glock trigger in a S&W frame it would be a winner. Best option is a grip reduction with a beaver tail then grind to your liking.

Total cost $45 if you do it yourself.

Also note the Glock grip angle is larger (more angled/sloped to the rear) than the M & P. A change in grip circumference won't alter this.

This is a problem I've been contemplating myself; if you don't like the grip feel of the Glock, and in order to like it, you have to modify it, why would you get it?

I feel the same way, I absolutely love the M&P grips; they are comfortable, and have a nice texture against my palms. And best of all, I don't have to spend additional money to modify it to my liking :)

Those finger grooves are love it or hate it. A lot of people can't fit their fingers I n those grooves. I love it. Like a glove!

Because he wants a 10mm. Didn't you read the original post?

Unfortunately, the Glock cannot be modified to be like an M&P. It can be modified to be better, but it will never be as nice as the M&P.

Did you try a Gen4? The finger grooves are less pronounced.... But if you know how to use a dremel, the solution is easy. If not Glockworx & Cold Bore do good grip work. Boresight is the best but good luck getting work from Ben sometime in the next 5 years...
