how to make a glock grip feel like an m&p?

I have a Gen3 G19 and the finger grooves are too small for my fingers. I didn't really notice it until I started shooting the gun a lot. What I did was take some sandpaper and a small block of wood and sanded down the bottom two ridges. I started with 60 grit and made my way up to 800 and it worked out pretty well. I may get some 2000 grit sandpaper and smooth out the grip even more, but it's not really noticeable until you shine a light on it, or a flash from the camera.

In Glock's, I like the Gen 2 grips best (largely because of their lack of finger groves). The Gen 4's are next favorites.

That said, I find an application of Talon Grip kit (Rubber) Does allot to make either feel better.

Still think the M&P grips rule but that won't help in 10mm.

I dislike glocks, I always shoot high with them. Ive decided it is the grip angle. I can naturally point an M&P or any of my 3rd gens with my eyes closed, open them up and the sights are 99percent aligned. Glock, always pointed up when I do this.

Grip is very blocky in my hands as well. They are good pistols, but something I would have to shoot a lot and almost feel like I would have to go exclusive to glock to ensure consistency.

I was a 3rd gen guy until about a year ago when I got my first M&P, figured I would try to come into the modern world of Tupperware. I am glad I did, the M&P shoots great and feels great. I'm just not a glock kinda guy I guess.

It's plastic. Take 'em out! I'd try sanding.

If you mess it all up, replace the frame, and Lone Wolf has proprietary frames for Glocks that might work for you.

How to make a glock feel like a S&W M&P. Start fire get real hot and toss the unloaded glock into the fire and walk away.

My point the Glock does not feel secure in my hand like the M&P does.

Also note the Glock grip angle is larger (more angled/sloped to the rear) than the M & P. A change in grip circumference won't alter this.

As also noted by miles71, that's been my issue with them. I have to consciously tilt my wrist down to line up the sights, and the grip angle isn't comfortable for me. I have the same problem with the "normal" Ruger Mark I, II and III - when I bought one I got the 22/45 for the 1911 grip angle.

If they would only make it with a grip like a Model 39...

I think S&W is missing out in not offering an M&P in 10mm...

It's a pretty small market for the 10mm. It's a real 'specialty round', with more power than you would want or need for personal defense.

In some states, it's legal to hunt using the 10mm.

Total sales of the 10mm are a tiny fraction of the 9mm, 40cal, and 45ACP.

This is why there are so few manufacturers making 10mm pistols.
