Arby's - What you see is NOT what you get.
Arby's - What you see is NOT what you get.
Picture of their Mint Chocolate Swirl Shake.
Arby's Mint Chocolate Swirl Shake
This picture is ONLY for the MEDIUM size shake.
Order small or large and it comes in a paper cup
NO Whipped Cream
NO Andes Chocolate pieces topping.
Was with a friend and we were disappointed.
Used on-line comment to air my gripe.
Manager called me.
That is the way it is.
Corporate set the policy on these.
There is nothing about the paper cup that would prevent
providing the ILLUSTRATED toppings.
McDonald's does better with their Shamrock shake.
Yes it is a small thing.
What else will they lie to me about next.

I have been disappointed with the restaurants in my area I am becoming a great Cook this includes desserts and I love milkshakes.

I would have thereupon ordered the 'medium' to compare.
BTW, I am wholly on your side in this battle.
Please do keep us posted.

Arbys used to make their fries in a mould using instant potatoes. I rather quite liked 'em. Didn't catch on though. They went back to more traditional fries.

Over the last few years Arbys seems to be on a cost and quality cutting spree. Its not good these days. It used to be a regular stop for me and I looked forward to it. Now I can't stand it, so I haven't been to one in a long time.
Worse, my favorite breakfast meal used to be their ham, egg and cheese croissant. I really liked it and would drive out of my way to get one. Even get up on a weekend day to got get one. first they screwed up the croissant so badly and made it smaller. Now they nuke them and you've got to let it cool down and get soaked. Its a little meat like stuff, with an egg and some sticky cheese. All with a coating that once was the croissant, but now soaked from the microwave.
Things change.

I haven't been in an Arby's since I walked into the corporate training store open carrying and two young morons behind the counter raised their hands like I was a threat. Sorry-asset company never responded to my online complaint. (I went online because the store manager was a useless slug.)

I used to like Arby's.....
Last time I ordered a 'Gyro' and it was their same roast beef rolled sideways instead of flat. Not pleased at all.

Wait, I take that back. It wasn't an Arbys at all. It was the first Roy Rogers, in Virginia, while I was in D.C.
I've never been in an Arbys. Ever.

Use to like Arby's plain "roast beef" sandwich. It's been so long since I've been in one of their stores I can't recall why I quit going. My best wild guess is it was something about it not being real meat....... But I'm a guy that also liked the McRib. hardcase60

Back not so very long ago I used to visit Arby's when their regular RB sandwiches were on sale for a dollar. That's about what they are worth to me. In the summer of 2010 I was working on a job in Indiana, and I practically lived on those dollar RB sandwiches. I believe their current price is 2 for $5. And that's too much.

If you ever do go back to Arby's compare your sandwich to the picture of your sandwich on the menu. You won't see much resemblance.
"I ordered THAT."
"Yes, sir."
"But you gave me THIS"
"Yes, sir."
"THIS doesn't look anything like THAT, does it?"

I'll be the "odd man out"... A few months ago, I stopped at an Arby's next to a hotel I was staying at in Tenn. Ordered a Ruben. It was actually pretty good. As a roast beef sandwich lover, I'll leave no comment about what they sell as roast beef...

Compare the Lobster Feast on TV to the lobster feast served to you at Red Lobster -- that is real false advertising.

Funny you mention this, I remember several years ago a guy I worked with saw a ad in the paper for Red Lobster, that day after work he went home picked up his wife and they went to Red Lobster and ordered what was in the ad, when it came it didn't look anything like what he ordered, he complained, he showed them the ad and told them that is what he wanted and he said it loud enough for everyone in the place could hear, they gave him what he ordered.

The food used in ads is usually not food at all, it's made out of plastic or plaster as it photographs better. There might be a little resemblance to what you buy, but not much. Not sure how the chains get away with false advertising, but I am sure their lawyers tell them how to do it.

That reminds me, a couple years back McDonald's had a mushroom burger. Picture showed it loaded with mushrooms, no pickles. I had had a couple before and they were not too bad (for McDonald's) and had a good amount of mushrooms and they do not come with pickles!
We were about 2 hundred miles from home and we decided to do a quick stop and continue home. Went into this busy just off the interstate Mickeys Dees and I ordered a mushroom burger.
It was haphazardly thrown together had 2 mushrooms and about a 1/2 dozen pickles. My wife is a Little more diplomatic than me and she went to the counter got the manager and asked him does this mess look anything like the pictures and the commercials show?
Even the manager said no that is totally wrong and supervised another made up (had about 30 mushrooms on it). He then comped my wife $25 in coupons good at any McDonald's (Our bill was about $10 at that place).

I stopped going to Arby's when they downsized their large roast beef and raised the price. At one time the Arbys here were busy all the time, now you see three or four cars in the parking lot. We have several mom and pop hamburger joints here that still use beef, they are packed most of the time.

Even pasta? Almost all of it is extruded, especially spaghetti and macaroni. Once I lived near a pasta factory that made extruded spaghetti and macaroni and I was inside their plant several times.

We don't do Arby's any longer. We as in the LE community in our area. We have anecdotal evidence that they've been tampering with the food of LE officers who order . . . if we were to get hard evidence it won't go well for them.

ANYONE who tampers with food should have to spend at least 10 years making food for the other inmates.
Y'all need to get some friend-of-the-cops employed there and catch them in the act. A tune up would be in order, IMHO...

About 15 years ago, they had the Fixens Bar where you could add dill pickle, tomatoes, lettuce, etc to your sandwich. All the cheap skates brought their own sandwich and ordered a drink and used the Fixens Bar.
Then about two years or so, the Fixens Bar was gone and I haven't been back since.

It was the favorite weapon of Baltimore's drug dealers...which prompted the Maryland General Assembly to ban it as (and I am not making this up) an "assault pistol".
Dealers who sold them around here called them the Jam-0-Matic...
