2017 Hickok Movie

Had never heard of it until you mentioned it.

Wonder if it was one of those straight-to-DVD films.

Hemsworth? Really? And Kris Kristofferson?? Seriously? I mean, I like Kristofferson, but isn't he about 120-years-old now? Looks like they have to prop him up or something.

And they even dug up Bruce Dern...a fine actor who's had a fantastic career. Maybe he needed some money?

I haven't seen the movie, and have no plans to watch it. It's getting horrible reviews and one-star ratings across the board.

Hi:
Viewed the 2017 movie "Hickok" on Netflex last night.
Lots of older stars in it.
Strange story of Hickok in Hays City.
Can't decide wherether it was a "Turkey" or not
Opinions ?

I heard of it, never saw theactrical release and went straight to DvD release. Saw it for sale at WM starting about a month ago. I'm skipping it myself not having read up on it. Ive got plenty of old Westerns to keep me in westerns heaven for a long time with something to the tune of around 5,000 +++ western movies being made. This excludes TV westerns and specials and such and only covers theater-released movies.
THIS Is Hickok:

There is also a pre-order of the book with the same artwork as the shirt.
All others pale.
And just fer you Tombstone fans:

That’s because he was actually there for the events depicted in the movie,

He should’ve been banned from westerns after “Heavens Gate”.

Watched it last night, It was worth the look but not overly impressed!
Instead afterward I watched Casablanca on TMC for the umpteenth million time!:D
Play it Sam, you played it for her now play it for me! :D
My all time favorite classic! ;)

No, no, no, I don't care how the movie dialog went.

It's "Play it again, Sam." :D

He was good in Lone Star, although that's not traditional western.

I’ll go with you on that, one of my favorite movies.

Though the beard & Colt New Frontier were a bit out of place in a 1950s Texas sheriff.

My favorite line:
Nazi Colonel- "Those blundering Americans"
French Captain - "Yes, I was with them when they blundered their way into Berlin in 1918"

Speaking of TCM, I hit it while channel surfing last week and happened on “Bonnie and Clyde”. And who was in the scene? Gene Wilder. I had forgotten about his brief comic appearance in that on.

Kris was barely passable with Willie Nelson in 'A Pair of Aces'

.

Wasn't he in Convoy?? Or am I thinkin of someone else??? Anyway, kinda like his older tunes, but think his actin stinks worse than a backed-up cesspool.
