"Auto Approve" Car Refinancing?
Got a couple of letters from them promising to lower our interest rate on the car loan.
We NEEDED a car (long story) and for various reasons couldn't get a loan from our Credit Union, so bought from Carmax, at 18% interest!!
We'd love to lower the payment, but I'm pretty leery of jumping into something just from a mailing.
When I looked them up on the Interwebs, the first "hit" was about scams, which makes it even more sketchy to my mind.
Anyone here ever dealt with this outfit?
TIA for any feedback.

If the first hit contained the word "scam" you definitely need to look elsewhere

Yea, I don't think there is a lot that can be taken at face value these days.
Seems about every other internet posting or advertisement is some sort of scam.
I would schedule a sit-down meeting with my credit union, as well as at least a couple local banks. I would be surprised if one wouldn't re-finance your auto loan if you open a checking account with paycheck direct deposit.

Refinancing auto loans is a thing, but not sure I'd go about it by responding to an unsolicited advertisement. Try asking that credit union again. Or a bank. I once bought a car with one of those checks the credit card company sends you. It was the best deal around.
Legitimate banks have refinancing you can apply for online.

When they approach, out of the blue , it is a scam. Look for better financing on your own. Being approached, unsolicited, is always a scam.
