Actors/ Actresses you can't stand?

I already mentioned one actor I hate. We'll leave that there.
But there are several who I dislike.
Adam Sadler and Jim Carrey have been mentioned. I love a good comedy, but what they do isn't comedy. Its stupidity. I won't watch them at all.
Another who annoys me greatly is Liam Neeson. First he's not a very good actor. Most often he plays the tough gun with a gun shooting up the whole place. But if you've ever seen his comments on the 2nd Amendment you'd see what a huge hypocrite he is. I won't watch anything he's in.
An actor that greatly disappoints me is Sam Elliot. Good actor who's made some memorable characters in some great movies. He's smart enough to know his fan base and keep his mouth shut. What most people don't know is that he's a far left, ultra liberal and anti-gun.

John Wayne. I can take him as a cowboy but when puts on a military uniform the hypocrisy is too much.

I thought he was ok in True Grit.

Golly I sure hope you're not including his role as the Roman centurion in "The Greatest Story Ever Told." :p

That's disappointing .

I'm trying to think of an actor or actress I care enough about to despise.

My biggest one is George Clooney. Not much to give up. After his comments about Charlton Heston deserving Alzheimer's, because of his association with the NRA.

Loved Heston's first comment when told of Looney's comment. "WHO".
He also stated that class must skip a generation.

Late night television died the day Jay Leno retired. While he did make a few political comments in his monologue, he was pretty balanced about it and he was NEVER mean-spirited, I don't think he has it in him . . .

You obviously forgot how he got that show in the first place! Johnny promised to give it to David Letterman until Jay stole it from David and never apologized or looked back. That was a major piece of mean-spirited ruthless work.

There are very few actors I like so how about that list?

My ten short list past and present

Steve McQueen
Lee Marvin
Ernest Borgnine
Charles Bronson
Jimmy Stewart
Clint Eastwood
Tom Selleck
Chuck Norris
Gary Sinise
Kurt Russell

Could care less about the rest. Really

I never cared for Charles Durning. I don't know why, I just didn't. Until I learned he was a decorated WWII and Battle of the Bulge veteran.
I think the tipping point was when he was on NCIS, as a Marine who tried to turn himself in for killing his buddy. I won't spoil the episode, but in one scene he was dancing with Kate(Sasha Alexander) to a big band song while singing softly in her ear, It brought a tear to my eye.

I had forgotten about that episode. It was fantastic, and definitely a tear jerker! I remember after watching it, I looked up Durning's story. Here is part of his story: "Actor Charles Durning was in one of the first waves to land on Omaha Beach during the D-Day invasion. Durning was the only soldier in his company to survive. Durning was wounded nine days after the landing."

Another one I can't stand is Tom Selleck. He does a very obvious poor job of acting, wearing what looks like a cheap toupee while pretending to be your friendly neighborhood friend advising you to get a reverse mortgage on your home. Read the fine print. I wonder how many gullible people have lost their homes to banks because of this paid hawker.

Sorry, but I disagree with you here. Tom Selleck is one of my favorite all time actors. In fact, "Blue Bloods" is a never miss show for me too. I must admit that I've always wondered why he does the reverse mortgage commercials? I mean it can't be just for the money, I would guess he has more than he will ever need.

I am a huge Sam Elliott fan. I'm sure I haven't seen everything that he has ever done but in these, he was spectacular to me. "The Sacketts", "The Shadow Riders", "Conagher", "Tombstone", and the Yellowstone prequel "1883". I'm sure there are many others too. Believe it or not, I even liked his character in "Roadhouse". I can overlook his views because I am watching him for entertainment, not looking for a buddy to hang out with!

Didn't know that. Oh well, it's all ancient history now...

I never thought Bob Hope was funny at all. And as he aged he got less funny, and near the end would repeat stories minutes after telling them already. Others I have/had no use for:

Adam Sandler, he was ok as a serious actor, but in comedy, he's painful.
Gene Kelly
Audrey Hepburn-She needed to eat!
Any "dancer" that acted too.
Jack Black
Will Farrell
Jim Bruer, used to be funny, something happened.
Rob Schneider
Scott Biao.
Avery Brooks. Some people think he was great on Deep Space 9, I just thought he "acted" very strangely.
Mel Gibson (Later, I liked him 20 years ago)
Tracy Spiradakos (Was on Chicago PD) I don't find her believable at all.

None of the above have anything to do with politics.

I find David Caruso wildly entertaining. I have no idea what is going on with him, but on NYPD Blue he was OK, but when he went to Miami, he went to outer space.

I give Bob Hope a pass for all he did for USO performances.
As a friends late mother said about actors. "Even Jimmy Stewart lied to get in the military". He was quite underweight for his height.

From what I remember, Carson was in favor of Letterman but NBC upper management was not because of several jabs Letterman had taken at them. They were the ones who chose Leno. I wouldn't call that stealing, I'd call it shooting yourself in the foot.

Wow, I grew up watching Mr Hope and found his monologue to be well done and very funny.

In fact in 1977 I had a 22' fall and busted a lot of bones and was in the hospital. I started watching the Hope monologue and had to turn off the TV the laughing I was doing was hurting me big time.

Grammar school play, the Hobbit. I was a troll under the bridge with the line "what are you doing in my domain?". Brilliant acting, critically acclaimed, should have won an Oscar.

Next time you find yourself in Albuquerque, New Mexico make a point of stopping in at the local VFW post. You will find a men's restroom adorned as a Jane Fonda shooting range, every urinal featuring a picture of her as the aiming point.

Many of us will never forget her publicized travels to North Vietnam and public denunciations of the United States while we were performing our duties there. Some of our POWs have recalled her visit during their stay at the Hanoi Hilton (prison) and passing on to their guards what the POWs asked her to convey back to their nation and families. Publicity pictures showing Jane Fonda in the seat of a 12.7mm anti-aircraft gun used against American aircraft.
Ok
No Jane Fonda for me, thanks anyway.

I despise Jane Fonda.
