Lots of beauties posted here. Love 'em.
However, I've been thinking of getting out of the .44 Special business.
I have one Lew Horton 24-3 (3" barrel) with a superb action/trigger, one Ruger old model Blackhawk converted to .44 Spec (probably the smoothest/sweetest single action/trigger...
Great. Thanks.
So, one need not be an ICORE member to win a firearm? (No big deal to me; just a departure from what I've seen in the past.)
Lookin' forward to it. Gonna be a GREAT match!
Is that backwards? In my experience at ICORE Regional matches, you don't have to be an ICORE member to shoot, BUT you DO have to be a member to win a firearm.
I reckon either way is fine with me, but just wondering.

Marine24, I agree. I too have wanted a 3" 625 for a long time.
I actually bought a nice 25 (M1955) to shorten and customize. But then changed my mind and sold it in hopes of finding a somewhat reasonably priced 3" M625. No luck yet.
Regrettably, I did pass up a M625-10 2" about three...

ICORE minimum PF is 120. USPSA minimum PF is 125.
My load is about 128 PF. Some folks want a bit more, which is no problem.

Which case to use? I...

I believe he is referring to the fact that USPSA changed its rules to allow 8-shot revolvers (S&W M627/629) in Revolver Division. 8-shot revolvers...
I think my M317 (no dash) is a fairly early specimen. Serno CCK4xxx Cannot remember when I bought it; probably 1998 or 99 or so.
In original press releases, I recall S&W indicated and pictured a pinned front sight and those pretty wooden grips. I was a bit disappointed that mine did not...

Here's another example of his work. The first (of only two) I had him engrave. I wish now I had polished it before engraving and rebluing; would have been a prettier blue. But it still looks...
