    New 3913

Hey Jesse, Although, I'll never catch up to your collection, my next purchase will probably be a 6904. I want a S&W double stack compact. My 3913 wasn't NIB, but it looks to have been fired very, very little. There is the slightest hint of holster wear around the nose, and there were a couple...

    New 3913

The problem with this thread is that even though it's titled "New 3913," the only pictures so far are of Jesse's HK P7's. So here are pics of the 3913 which I picked up from my FFL today, including a couple with a 639 for comparison. BB

    4053 size question

Rick, There are different variations of the 4053. There was a thread on this in August. http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/520103904/m/3081044613

The standard 5946 came with a magazine disconnect safety.

    CZ PO1

CZ pistols are well made. I considered buying the P01 and the PCR. They both fit my hand well. I ended up with a PCR, but it is very similar in most regards to the P01. I like the curved backstraps on the CZs --- they remind me of my 39-2 (there, i've added S&W content to this thread), even...

    New 3913

Ivanhoe sells police dept trade-ins and police dept surplus. So these are not NIB, nor are they advertised as such. But, some of Ivanhoe's "used" firearms may be unissued surplus and thereby be in excellent shape.

    New 3913

I ordered one of these 3913's also. There is one left at Ivanhoe.

    CIA Issued S&W 9mm"s?

Exactly right. My dad's best friend started in the OSS, predecessor to the CIA. He couldn't care less about firearms. He had a great career. Spent a lot of time entertaining and going to parties --- always seemed to get great assignments ---- Paris, London, Washington.

    Ok Let's vote

Personally, I don't like the look of any two-tone pistol that has different slide and frame colors. Contrasting grips are OK --- wood on either stainless or blue or black. Or black grips on a stainless frame AND stainless slide looks better than two-tone slide-frame. But to each his own...

    My 39, 639 and a Trigger Issue

George, I hadn't heard of Actions by T before. Perhaps I'll give him a call, since I get over Houston-way several times each year. Thanks, BB

    My 39, 639 and a Trigger Issue

Conn ak - Crunchy is definitely a good term for my 639 trigger. I can't consider my 639 perfection, since my 39-2 trigger is as smooth as butter! The 39-2 is my perfect gun right now. The 639 is number 2, followed by all my non-S&Ws. Merry Christmas! BB

    My 39, 639 and a Trigger Issue

Mr. Moore: Thanks for the info. Interesting that such a tool was provided to gunsmiths. With the slide off the gun, I now find that the plunger spring's interference with the recess pretty much disappears if I push down slighltly on the top of thetrigger assembly as I pull the trigger through...

    My 39, 639 and a Trigger Issue

Retired in '01 The cutaway view originally came from the S&W website, but I'm not sure it's there anymore. It has been posted here in the S&W forums before, as well as showing up in other internet sites. I believe it shows a model 5906, but not positive of that. It is a great diagram. (You...

    My 39, 639 and a Trigger Issue

Hello, I'm relatively new to the S&W forums. My favorite handgun is a 39-2 I inherited from my father. It was probably unfired when I got it a few years ago, but it instantly became my favorite. It shoots very well and fits my hand better than any other pistol. It's pictured below, along...
