Nice... I just traded a glock19 for a 66-1 with box, tools, and all paperwork ... It seems like it has a wide trigger compared to my 586 and 28-2... Mine is 6 inch barrel though.... Love your 4 inch
Why not just get a gun with a safety... If its not feasible to add a safety to your current firearm..... I got rid if my glock19 ... Traded it for a smith 66-1 with box and tools :) ... I carry my 4006 now ... And feel secure with a round in the chamber and safety on....
i got a pair from Brownsville for my 4006 (5906 in 40S&W) and went on in about 5 minutes... all u do is punch out the bottom pin and slide them on from the bottom... i bought mine used also...and the new factory grips make it look so much better... i got the ones with the curved back on it...old...
ewww my dealing with pawn shops have been about the same... everyone give you nothing for what your trying to sell...and turn around and charge 150%-200% more than what they paid for it...they are a total rip off... usually if you are borrowing money on an item they give you more...but selling...
take a look at the Coly Python... you can't buy one under a grand (1000) and the colt king cobra...usually not under 800... so smith's im sure are on the rise too... i am not buying the new S&W's... one there not made like they use to be...sort of like an old car... plus its going to be a piece...
earlier this year i traded my GSG-5SD for a good condition 4" 28-2... thought in the long run it would be a good trade and only go up in value rather than a german made copy of an HK 22lr. that was the beast that started it all...im still sort of young... so just last week i purchased a 586 4"...
Lee... if it was up to me... I would get the regular blue job... send it to S&W spend the 200 and get it done with them... they take it down to bare metal... restamp it with the logo and all lettering...then refinish it and test fire it and check the action...i think its worth the extra money...
not sure if they offer the original finish that the 28 had... think all the do now is a blue bead blast that would be closest but not correct...and the original blue, and can't remember if they have a high gloss blue... or just the 2 blue options... looks like the site is down right now too...
