I ordered the dcaek and polymer trigger action kit online but found out a local gun shop would have installed it for free if I bought it from them at a similar price. dohhh! I'll learn to give my local guy the business next time!
I haven't been to range yet, but a few dry fires and it seems...
ahh wish I woulda seen this thread, my 9c just got an apex duty carry kit and polymer one piece trigger, im excited to try it out!. I have the ext safety too. I like that its prominent so I wouldn't fail to disengage on a draw, but would like it to be a bit stiffer as well. That big lever...
This is what i was thinking too, for carry. I ordered the polymer trigger and found a local guy on craigslist with a couple DCAEK kits, hopefully try and get one of those for 50 bucks ;)
i haven't had the problem w/ the 9C safety during recoil. My grip has my thumb resting on the safety. A grip having your thumb below the safety would make it more likely to have the thumb rise a bit during recoil and put safety back on. Probably w/ your left hand squeezing the gun harder...
I like the prominent thumb safety that makes it very easy and reliable to sweep off w/ a draw etc... I did cut off the right side lever tho. It was very easy to do. Just cut it off flush w/ outside of frame and not too short. There are procedures on this forum, net, and youtube video if...
there isn't much difference between a SR9C and m&p9C in size/capacity, i'm assuming the 40's also are very similar. Also the shield is not much smaller except being a thinner single stack.
I echo others' comments in that you need high cap gun for that job. Chances are if you have problems, its going to be a well armed BG and probably multiple BG for high value targets. A shield would be a BUG.
i really like the TS on my 9C. easy to operate, especially important for a butt pucker situation, which is really the only time it is critical. The sweep adds zero time during my draw. You can cut the off side lever off as well. I'm going to take the right side off for a CT grip laser...
I read somewhere that a mecgar +2 mag base works for the m&p 9C mags?
anyone verify that? also, are they longer or shorter than the pinkie extension base plate?
I'm thinkin if not longer, why not get 2 extra rounds in the smaller mag?
