    Shield M&P 9mm Quality?

I had a white dot pop off of my rear sight of my Shield. I emailed S&W and they recommended to fill it with white model paint but said we will send you a new sight. I get the sight in the mail unfortunately they sent me a front site. I emailed them again and now they are sending me a new rear...

    Shield trigger double click

Like others my shield has a click before the reset click. I polished and rounded the striker block and polished the trigger bar and it still clicks. It is definitely not the trigger bar against the striker block making the clicking noise. With the slide off, if I push on the striker block with...

    Shield ???

I just removed my rear site and had a tough time too. I ended up grinding off the tip of one of my wood chisels so it had a flat edge. I put the slide in a vise and kept on hitting it with the chisel until it started to move. Before i started I put the slide in the freezer for an hour; not sure...

Shield Trigger Reset has double click

My shield does the same thing, has a faint click and then the reset. I radiused and polished my striker block and I still hear the click. Maybe I didn't give it enough radius.

Thanks for the replies. That's what i figured; S&W was mixing and matching parts. I didn't get the pistol yet, but I will check the spent casing and the # on the box when I get it.

    S&W 462LS Ladysmith 38 Special

I just bought a Ladysmith 38 for my wife. The pistol was advertised as brand new in the factory box. I did notice the printing on the side of the pistol only says "SPFLD, MA, S&W USA" where others I have seen say "Made in U.S.A., Marcas Registradas, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Mass." Does...

The Other 'Gritty Trigger' Cause; eliminated!

My Shield trigger was slightly gritty and I was putting off polishing the striker bore because I didn't feel like removing the rear site. I just polished the trigger bar with 600 grit paper; that's what i had laying around and followed with Mother's mag polish as suggested by ric_in_or. What a...

    M&P SHIELD

I ended up buying a N82 Tactical Professional for my Shield http://n82tactical.com/n82store/ It's very comfortable and there is no way the pistol would ever come out of the holster unintentionally.

    9mm shield broke

I also feel your pain. I bought a new Shield 9mm and the yellow sear disconnect lever fell out of the pistol. It was missing the pin that holds the lever in. Sent it back to S&W for repair and just waiting to get it back.

How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

    9mm on Gunbroker. $407 + $30 s&h + $20 FFL fee. $457

New 9mm Shield for one day.

Looks like the pin is missing. I thought about doing it myself, but since it's a brand new gun, i'll let them do it.

New 9mm Shield for one day.

Unfortunately I bought it on Gun Broker, so I will be sending to S&W.

New 9mm Shield for one day.

Yesterday I pickup my new M&P 9mm Shield. Got it home and started field stripping it, I pushed the yellow sear deactivation lever down and it falls off and out through the grip. Searched other forums and found that it's happened to others. I called S&W and they are sending me a return label to...
