Picked up an M&P 22 and now a problem

    He will need a 3mm punch. A 3/32 also works if you can't find a 3mm.

    M&P 22 rollpin coming out

Don't bother sending it to s&w. I did and all they did was bend the existing pins in the center so they weren't perfectly tubular anymore and re-install. When I got it back 2 weeks later, the pins were not even centered in the frame! So I tapped the pins in myself, so they were equal on...

    m&p22 barrel nut loosened

I tried that with the old pins and it didn't work, but it was with some really old lock tite and I was hesitant to get any on the plastic frame for fear of it degrading it, so I used very little, probably too little. I try it again with new locktite and a more appropriate amount. When I...

    m&p22 barrel nut loosened

I originally sent it in because all the pins would back out after a few hundred rounds. All they did was bend the pins and re-install them which did NOT work. I indicated that I thought it was not shooting very accurately in the note I included in the box and it came back saying they...

    m&p22 barrel nut loosened

Hey guys, I noticed yesterday that my barrel nut was loose enough that the sleeve rotates a few degrees in Its locating slot. I used the supplied wrench to tighten it but how tight does it need to be? S & w replaced my barrel under warranty about 500 rounds ago, and hope that I don't need...

    M&P22 soft strikes

Well, if it were me, I would not change the amount its ceaned, rather I would just spray some plastic safe contact cleaner down the firing pin channel before the final assembly to clear out the excess lube from that area. (Not sure this is a good or bad idea, so try at your own risk)

First time shooting my M&P 22. Some behavior questions.

When I had feeding issues (nose of the bullet slamming into the top of the chamber) cleaning the crud out of the magazines seemed to solve the issue. (Could be just coincidence though) Had to send mine back twice, second time they replaced the barrel and that's also when I started to get the...

    M&P22 Coil Pins Backing Out

The polymer frames may be zytel, which is not attacked by loctite 680. Can anyone confirm that the M&P22 frame material is in fact zytel? If it is, I'm just going to slather the pin/hole with the 680 and I'm sure I'll be good to go. (I'd call Smith and Wesson, but the reps seem to know...

    M&P22 Coil Pins Backing Out

Could this possibly damage the polymer frame when its tapped in? (since one end will be larger than normal for the hole) Obvioulsy you tap it from the flaired end but the entire pin is inside the frame.

    M&P22 Coil Pins Backing Out

I tried the best I could to get all the oil out of the hole, but it is possible that I did not get it all. Good thought. I may need to try the loctite again, but I'm still leary of this since it says right on the loctite bottle not for use on plastic. (enbrittles the plastic according to the...

    M&P22 Coil Pins Backing Out

Hi guys, Bought an M&P22 a while ago and finally got to shoot it. I really like this thing, and actually found that my accuracy with my 9mm improved after shooting with the 22. (probably helps get rid of a minor flinch) I am have a problem with 2 of the three coiled spring pins backing out...
