You're asking the people on THIS forum if you want should buy another S&W? You know what the replies will be, right? I'm retired and disabled and my income doesn't allow me to buy more guns. But if I could, I would buy more. I think you know what you will do and just want some validation for...
A model 19 snub with Magnas and grip adapter in a Bianchi Pistol Pocket(?) With HKS speedloaders. Yep, looks like a throwback to the 70s when I was a new patrolman and would have drooled over that outfit. I realize its a -5 so it isn't a 1970s vintage but its a 19 snub and fits the profile.
I sold a Colt 1905 .45 auto that I inherited to pay for my new wife's dental care. That was 38 yrs ago. I would fix her teeth instead now...just kidding...I guess. There have been trades that I regretted but what is done is beyond change so I tend to just forget them and move on.
So, you were going to have aged filet mignon but went for the Vienna Sausage instead???...Well, the can of Vienna Sausages will fill one up as much as the filet. The point of crowing about choosing a plastic bottom feeder vs a S&W N Frame in a forum dedicated to S&W revolvers is?...Its a gag, right?
I find the tool I use, made by Gunsmither, makes life easier for me. In my case, shaky hands with fumble fingers guided by sixty three year old eyes make the tool essential. I don't want to hunt for springs that fly into an unseen dimension never to return. I guess I could fashion some sort of...
I have one that I traded for years ago. I believe the gun I traded for it was worth around $400. I can't speak to current value. Mine had no case or papers. I know they aren't commonly encountered. I carry mine a lot. It's amazingly light. It's not fun to shoot but it's not a range gun...I...
My close friend was with me for over nine years. He was consigned to the local SPCA in a cage that was too small for him. He was a hound and doberman mix. I adopted him. He was a very calm fellow and his temperament was what I liked about him. I was disabled by a stroke and spent a lot of time...
Sad news indeed...One of my favorites and a true original and master of his art. I have many recordings to enjoy so he leaves an enduring legacy...RIP Mr. Jarreau.
Wow!...I guess I'm old because the instructions on how to put pictures on here left me mystified in the first sentence.
I have a few S&W revolvers and other revolvers and pistols. I recently got a very clean M65-2 three inch that I like quite a bit. I will hopefully learn how to put some...
My 629-6 is as accurate or a bit more accurate than my old 29-2 when shot from a rest. With full-power magnums, the 29-2 cylinder will unlock and rotate clockwise sometimes. The 629-6 doesn't do that.
I've had a good many S&W, Colt, Rugers...and a few Taurus and Rossi revolvers but I don't want to remember my misadventures with them...and have had breakages, tie-ups and other problems with all those makers' revolvers. Well, come to think of it, I can't remember any failures with a Ruger...I...
When I shoot them, I can't tell much of a difference since I very rarely load with anything but .38 Spl. So, it would come down to price and condition. Based on that criteria, it would seem the M15 would be the better choice.
The .45 ACP revolvers are quite a blessing to people like me who are rather old and infirm. I enjoy shooting. 45 but not chasing valuable brass to reload. I had a 625 Model of 1988 that I bought in 1989. In my younger days, I didn't see the value of a big, heavy wheelgun that only held six...
I came into a three inch M65-2 last week. I traded a couple of polymer pistols for it. Since they are always easily replaced and I've wanted a three inch, HB, fixed sight K frame for quite some time, I as very happy. This revolver has recessed chambers but the barrel is not pinned. The previous...
