Must be illegal to own these 3" RB K-frames in Nevada. After 7 years and umpteen jillion visits to shows and LGS's, I have yet to see one in the Silver State.

It's not illegal. You just have to open your wallet more on some of them. I consider myself lucky to find my 3" 65-3 on Gunbroker a few years ago. They didn't give it away. But, compared to the "market" today it was a great price.

Very nice indeed. I had been searching for a 64 3" after trying to buy one from an elderly gentleman several years ago. Finally found this one at a show last year. Enjoy.

I stumbled across this 65-5 "Ladysmith" while looking for a 3" 64. My wife has commandeered it as her CCW. Still looking for that 64.

As a matter of fact, according to SCSW, these were marked by the factory, prior to shipping. I'm curious if anyone else has one of these G.P.B. marked guns or knows any more about them.

I had a 65-3, a few years ago. Traded it off. Ended up with a 586 no dash, 4". I would like another 3", ideally a 13. Who knows? Enjoy your 3 incher! Bob

My 64-3 has Farrants on it and seems to be my ideal carry gun. 357 mag is my favorite caliber but, in my old age, all the bark and fire of the magnum gets to me. The 3 inch barrel is just right.

I had a YOPB marked M64-5, that was an EXCELLENT shooter. Offered it up for sale at a reasonable price on this forum, & it lingered for quite a while - before selling to a lucky stiff, in OK.

Oh yeah, also had a NIB M64-3, that I purchased off one of our Grand Gorrilla's GB auctions. Very nice piece, that I really should have kept - as backup to my 3" M65-3.

I never even shot it, but the new owner did...

I came into a three inch M65-2 last week. I traded a couple of polymer pistols for it. Since they are always easily replaced and I've wanted a three inch, HB, fixed sight K frame for quite some time, I as very happy. This revolver has recessed chambers but the barrel is not pinned. The previous owner stated that it is a "transitional model"...That is of only moderate interest to me since I have no box with it and got it to carry and shoot. It is in nearly perfect condition and has been fired very little, if at all. It came with some S&W combat "banana" stocks but ther appear to be frankengrips with one type of wood on one panel and another on the other so I pulled a set of factory Magnas from the 70's out of my box-o-stocks...This gun is not a LE trade in. There is a "CS" stamped on the inside of the crane but I assume it's just an assembly number...Your new revolver is a nice find and I would be just as happy with a M64. I doubt my 65 will see any magnums as long as I have it...Congratulations!
