    Pawn Shop Buy

Sir: That is a great find, and a fair price as well. Congrats. I have been looking for one in that good of shape for a while myself.

Thought I had a really rare one today

It sounds like you have an excellent shop. I hope it stays that way for you. One of my favorite shops that priced guns low had a recent change in ownership and now the guns are priced almost as high as new, and they are very reluctant to haggle. As a result the guns now sit in the showcase...

    Got This Today, 629-1

You did extremely well. It does look to be fired very very little.

    Wolf primers?

They are an excellent primer. I have loaded small pistol, large pistol, small rifle magnum, small pistol magnum, and large rifle. I have loaded and shot untold thousands of them with only a couple of misfires. As far as I am concerned, you can't beat them. I usually order them from Powder...

    Finally...a deal at a gunshow

I am glad you got a good deal. Like you say, around here there is only a remote chance you will find a deal at the local shows. Usually before the show opens to the public any good deals are snatched up by the other buyers/sellers/dealers and then marked up to sell to those who attend the...

How many firearms do you own that you have never shot?

It has been interesting reading the posts. Jimmy, sorry to hear about your need to divest yourself of your collection. Hope all goes well. I am in the category of not having any weapons that have not been fired. In fact it is so bad that I usually shoot a new or new to me weapon within a few...

So I get a call from my local pusher...

A really excellent looking revolver and a smoking deal. You done good. Also really great looking pics. How do you guys do it? I am ashamed to even post mine compared to the quality of yours.

    My most recent purchase 29-3

Zombie 44: It will be a shooter as are all my guns. I think they were made to be shot.

    Crimsen trace lasers ?

As others have said, they are an excellent defensive addition. In addition they are made for the long haul. I do not baby my weapons and they get bounced around a bit. So far the Crimson Trace has taken a lickin and kept on tickin.

    My most recent purchase 29-3

Thank you all for your comments. It was one of those things where I was in the right place at the right time with the money. Normally I am like everyone else--paying on the average to high end. Oh, and sorry for the poor picture quality. New camera--old operator.

Another pic of recent purchase. I have to figure out how to resize the pics.

    My most recent purchase 29-3

I am really pleased with my most recent purchase. It is a 29-3 manufactured on Jan 23, 1983. It is in absolutely pristine condition. Just a faint turn line. No scratches on the blueing or wood. No indication of wear on any surface. As far as I can tell it must have been a safe queen...

    I hate the local pusher

I know, I know. That is how I ended up with my 19-3.

    Wolf primers?

They work great, and as stated they are harder than other primers. I have used over 15k of them in SP, LP, SRM and LPM and never had one fail. I am hooked on them.

    Crimping 223?

I would definately crimp for a semiauto. As stated above, you don't want the bullet seating deeper in the case.
