Rd. Butt/Sq. Butt The round butt is more flexible. You can use the S&W X-frame round to square grip; if your hand is large enuf. If that won't work for you, get one of each.:D

625-3 Sweet, and doesn't show a lot of wear. I concur on the stocks; if they are original,keep'em. IMO you would shoot better with a set of S&W oem Hogues.:)

I fitted the X-frame Hogue on my 625-2 with no mods; only judicious hand adjustment as the stirrup screw was tightened

X-frame stocks Might I suggest that you drive your "BIG SMITH" before you go to modify it;). No matter what you decide; you're gonna have a BLAST!!!!:D

Bonasa20, have you looked at the X frame grip; workedgreat on my 625

N frame grips My N frame is wearing the black X frame round butt conversion stocks. It took a little finessing for a good fit, and I didn't remove any material. 10 to 1 better feel than the Pachys:D

N frame stocks Bought a like new 625-2 a couple of years ago. when it got in grimey paws, it was wearing the standard Hogues (not S&W). Switched to Pachy Decel:confused:; They felt like a piece of 1"x4" flooring wrapped in rubber. Next, I switched to the S&W oem Hogue for the X-frame.:DGood...

Primer Problem If an increase in charge doesn't do it; try seating the primer with green Loctite. Be careful to avoid primer contamination.:D
