    DIY 22rd Magazine

If you look at my second picture you can kinda see that I left some "lip" on the magazine for the plate to grab onto. I may not have been super clear in my description. Mine held fine without gluing but just had a little bit of play if you pushed on it, so I ended up just epoxying it on there...

    DIY 22rd Magazine

Yes it does work with the ranger plates, just got some this week. If you do get some make sure you get the ones for the pmags and not the ones they make for the usgi mags. I found that DSG Arms sells them individually so you dont have to buy a three pack.

    DIY 22rd Magazine

Probably the only thing I don't like about the 15-22 is the length of the magazines. The 25 round magazines are about an inch longer than a typical 30 round ar-15 magazine which to me kinda throws it off aesthetically as well as making it hard to shoot off the bench. I was excited when they...

    Magpul Back up sights question

I wouldnt hold my breath for the gen II's. Magpul has a history of making things seem on the verge of release but they end up coming way way later. Just an example, the MOE+ grip was supposed to be out around a year and a half ago and it still isnt (Midwayusa even has it listed on their...

    Changing the butt stock

Ha, yeah that works a lot easier than what I said.

    Changing the butt stock

If you look on the little lever that you squeeze to adjust the stock in and out there is a pin on the bottom that the little lever pulls on when squeezed. If you get some pliers and pull on that pin far enough it will allow the stock to slide all of the way off. It just takes some effort...

    finished my project

Thanks guys. Yeah that may be in the works, but as we know these rifles never seem to be "finished" It us a UTG carry handle. They are cheap on ebay, thats where I got it, and the quality is not bad at all

    finished my project

Ive finally gotten around to finishing what Ive been wanting to do, which is give my 15-22 more of a typical ar-15 look such as a shorter hand guard, a front sight tower, and flash hider. I took off the hand guard and cut two holes worth of length off and then used a dremel tool to cut out the...

    ejector

Did you mirror the image of yours? Everything looks flipped like its left handed.

    FYI

Those are some good videos. I noticed he mounts the sight on the right side and tilts the gun in to use it. Is there an advantage to that side (as opposed to mounting it on the left) or is it more of a preference thing?

About to buy one...how do I know if its new?

You've gotta think a forum will tend to attract people who've had an issue, not people that had everything work fine. As far as I can tell they fixed the ejector issue at least several months ago. I think since then the majority of people haven't had any problems.
