The DCAEK doesn't lighten the trigger so much as smooth it. DC is Duty Carry. The competition kit lightens the trigger.

I have to disagree about the video's helpfulness, at least for a new owner. The video assumes you know how to pull the sear block, and jumps into the demo with the block already removed. I had to have a friend show me how to do that; wasn't all that hard, but it was NOT covered in the video...

For measuring, you want a micrometer. For adjustment, the sight adjustment tool. You didn't ask about the rear sight, but just in case... The M&P has a very small Allen type screw in the rear, which needs to be backed off prior to adjusting the sight.
