    trigger suggestion?

I Agree It's what makes YOU happy. I have a Ruger Charger that has a Kidd two stage trigger that cost more than the Charger. It makes me smile every time I pull the trigger. I polished the sear and put the JP spring set in my 15-22, now it makes me happy also. Kind of like putting a Cadillac...

Hard cast wadcutter loads for a 357

Target load I use 3.5 grains of Bullseye behind wadcutters for a target load. Kills paper just fine!

    Favorite Cold Blue

Me Too I did my vintage Remington model 24 with Oxpho Blue (recommended by my local gunsmith), and had great results. I used the cream for the same reason.

Return to S & W with aftermarket springs?

Thanks Thanks to all for your input. I have removed the JP spring set and reinstalled the "blue" spring set.

Return to S & W with aftermarket springs?

I need to send my 15-22 back to S & W for a broken ejector (part attached to barrel). It had the new blue springs and then I put in an aftermarket spring set. Has anyone returned a 15-22 to S & W for repair with aftermarket springs installed or should I put the stock springs back in?

Anyone else have BARSKA scope issues

Barska scope I have a BARSKA 3-9x42 IR Contour Riflescope that the reticle twisted in the housing and would jump at every shot. I did send it back (on me) with the $20 money order. They sent me a new one, this one seems OK so far.

    Model 41 Problems

I Agree I also bought a used 41, and I thought the warranty applied to only the original owner. I finally sent it back because of terrible groups, thinking I was in for a big bill as it was seven years old. S & W replaced the barrell at no charge, shoots great now. If all else fails, send it...

    Barska Scope?

I have one of these, actually the second one. The reticle in my first one started rotating after six months and when it finally got to the 90 degree mark, I decided to send it back rather than try another scope as I have another type Barska on my Ruger Charger and it works fine. I mailed the...

    AMMO TALK

No Info? I saw the same episode and was wondering the same thing. I went to CCI's web site and found no mention of them, unless they just haven't updated the site yet. The nose of the bullet had a slightly different shape to ensure reliable feeding. As I recall they were standard velocity also.

First range trip with new M&P 15-22

Same here I installed the JP spring kit and I also put some polishing compound on the trigger and sear then worked the trigger until the grittiness was gone. Cleaned it up, lubed and it was like having a new gun. What a difference. I was a bit intimidated in replacing the springs, but after...

    Terrible CCI MiniMag Day

Me too . . . Mine will eat CCI-SV all day, but put any hollow point in it and will occasionally jam. No problem as I buy CCI-SV for my S&W model 41, I'll just feed all of my 22's the same ammo.

    First mods?

My first mod was a bipod and a 3-9 scope. I was disappointed at the accuracy and the gritty trigger so I installed the JP spring set and worked the trigger last week. I put polishing compound on the sear & trigger worked it for 15 min, then cleaned & oiled. I couldn't believe the difference! It...

M 41 Ultradot Match Dot Install

I was having inconsistent zeroing problems with my Matchdot until someone on one of the forums mentioned that the zero may change slightly with dot size selection. I now zero with the size dot I intend to use, no problems. This is probably not a problem with larger target sizes.

    S&W a great company

Two years ago I bought a used 1993 model 41 and it would never live up to the reputation that 41s are supposed to have, in fact some of the bullets were 'keyholing". A gunsmith found tool chatter marks in one of the lands. This defect apparently was there since the gun was new. I returned it to...
