    the white dot fell out.....

I have 3 M&Ps. The rear dots fell out of 2 of them. This is a common problem that S&W can't seem to fix. It's not a big deal, I just used some gloss white nail polish and it looks good as new.

Home defense: Drop M&P40 and rely on Shield 40?

Come on really? What are your shirts made of? Tight spandex? A gun that size is a breeze to conceal IWB with a loose fitting cotton T-shirt. I prefer big guns with more firepower for HD, as I already feel a bit under gunned by just having pistol in the first place. I'd go with the full size M&P...

    M&P .22 issue

Mine also has about 1000 rounds through it and still ejects in a nice pile to my right. Have you scraped the extractor lately? An extractor with lots of tough build up can cause weird things to happen.

M&P22 First Time Out/$1.75 Mag Loader

I never would have felt the need for such a thing, the button on the side is plenty big and comfortable enough to use. But, good for you. Improvising cheaply is an art form.

    Figure this one out!!??

I think maybe you need to brush up on your knowledge of metallurgy and chemistry. As long as something has ferrous metal in it, it can and will rust at some point. Some take longer than others.

Replacing the extractor on an M&P9

That's what I keep reading. That a 2mm short starter punch or a ground down 1/16th inch punch is required to get it started. Otherwise it will break a normal punch.

    Figure this one out!!??

I've heard of some M&P slides failing to receive proper treatment from the factory and becoming rust prone. Usually rust like that only happens if you sweat on it a lot and don't bother wiping it down with a gun rag. I wipe down my M&P after every day I carry it and have had no rust problems...

Replacing the extractor on an M&P9

I would like to find out if the pin that holds the extractor is something that has to machined in or out of the gun. I've heard that it is nearly impossible to remove with a standard metal punch. I don't plan on taking it out any time soon, but I like to keep extra parts around, that are prone...

M&P22 First Time Out/$1.75 Mag Loader

I shoot mine way too much to do that. I also figure that since I'm not dependent on their function for defense I'm not too worried if they happen to develop a fouling induced malfunction. I do re-lube them periodically during the 500 round period though. I don't want them getting more wear...

    Federal Champion 9mm 100 count $19.97 Walmart

The Fed Champion 100 round box of 9mm is about the best value for 9mm ammo around. The .45 round box is great also, at $25.97 it is not much more expensive than 9mm! Pretty great deals if you can catch them in stock. The only things I don't like about the ammo is that it is loaded really light...

M&P22 First Time Out/$1.75 Mag Loader

I love my M&P22....well at least after I got a couple extra mags for it. It has been outrageously reliable for a .22 pistol. Out of about 1000 rounds I've had exactly "0" malfunctions. Seriously, none. I did clean it and lube it before shooting the first time. Now I only clean it every 500...

    M&P VS Glock

I own both, shoot them both fairly often and still think the Glock has less muzzle flip. That's just my personal perception though. I'm so glad they figured out what a decent trigger is AFTER I've bought a couple M&Ps myself. It's still a great gun, but I just don't get why it didn't have a...

Still waiting for Mags for my M&P in .22

It took me about 2 months to get mine after ordering over the phone. S&W has NEVER responded to any of my email questions. I have to call to get any info. It's not right only giving one magazine. Even if it raises the cost $25 or so it's still easier to get it right then and there. You...

    M&P VS Glock

M&Ps are great guns for sure, but there are some things I like more about Glocks. I like the lower bore axis of Glocks (which I find results in less muzzle flip) and the fact that it comes with a decent trigger pull from the factory. Whoever at S&W thought that was a good trigger pull must be...

    M&P .45

After about 700 rounds through my M&P9, and lots of dry practice (with snap caps), the trigger is smoother (no more grit) and a bit lighter. I need to get a trigger gauge to measure it. Sadly the over travel is still there, as well as the long and stealthy reset. Of course those can't be fixed...
