M&P 15-22 Ejection Port Dust Cover by PainterlyShotGroup review.

Brett does a great job on this video. Still waiting to get my 15-22 but know I want one of these for it. Seems to work great and looks good as well. Agree with Brett that I am not sure it would do as well as one for ARs. I also agree with him that I am not going to toss my 15-22 in a mud puddle or run my truck over it while it lies in the sand.

Thanks to Doug and Brett

Ejection Port Door Cover

Are the ejection port door covers still available? I've been searching everywhere to try and find one. Can anyone who can offer some info? It'll be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I have one... It was not made by the same person though. This cover is made of aluminum the original in this thread was made of kydex. It does need a pin and spring. You'd have to paint it as well.

I used this on my rifle... I have one left. PM me for details.

I'd be interested in one of these (new though). Any chance of someone making these again?

PainterlyShotGroup Dust Cover

I saw your dust cover and it looks great. Will it work just as well on an M&P 15 Sport 223/556? If so, what are they costing? please email me at [email protected].

If you do start making this again, I definitely want on the list.... This is awesome!!!

Hmmmmm. I'm going to have to build these since there is an interest in the dust cover. I've never wanted one, but I'll design one and see where it goes. I'll start working on one this weekend.

I wouldn't mind having a dust cover for my rifle I am going to use it a lot for hiking gun would be great to keep it clean

Honestly, unless you're dragging your rifle through the mud crawling on your belly, a dust cover really doesn't do anything. The bolt is normally closed so nothing big can get in there and the bolt itself has space between itself and the upper so minor dirt won't make it hang up either. With what we do with these rifles, it's really just for looks. It's just one more thing to fall off or break.

What happens if you forget to flip it open
I know I would sooner more than later.

It is held in place by a magnet, as soon as the bolt cycles it opens up. There was video one member posted somewhere on the forum showing his rifle firing with the cover closed, the cover opens quickly enough to allow the spent casing to eject safely.

Thats just cool :) & it looks cool .

like Dr Frankenstein, I'm trying to resurrect the dead! in this case, a seemingly dead post on a part I'd really like to see made :)
