I chose to not shoot it in my 57 for 2 reasons...both related. My loads worked...period. And I didn't need to subject either the gun or myself to the extra abuse...LOL. I don't feel the 57 is much stronger than a 29. But ??

A bit more steel in cylinder and barrel shank than the 29. I sure don’t shoot my 265’s a lot. It was more of an “experiment”. I was a bit surprised to find the recoil was not bad at all. In my not so humble opinion
the 41 Magnum makes for the “perfect” N frame. Dan
