Just picked up a Hatsan bullpup 12g. It's overall length is a shade over 27 inches long. Made in Turkey so I'm hoping their quality firearms like my Tisas. Never heard of them before? Guess they make airguns as well.

I have several full size hunting shotguns but wanted a home defender. Something small and easy to maneuver with in tighter spaces should the need ever arise? Lord Forbid

I have a similar 12 ga bullpup made by "Charles Daly Defence". I believe it is also Turkish made. I have read mixed reviews on these Turkish bullpups, mostly feeding problems. I believe the cure is a good cleaning (lots of factory grease), lube, and high brass shells. I have about 200 rounds of #4 buck & slugs through mine. Had a few misfeeds with skeet loads when I first got it, but after the 200 rounds of full power stuff, it now cycles low brass reliably as well. I actually used mine spring turkey hunting this year. With a screw in full choke, it worked well in the cramped pop up blind I was using. I used a 5 round mag, modified to two shot capacity.

Nice, never even really considered it for turkeys but I might reconsider, haha.

A buddy of mine bought the same gun couple weeks ago and I went over and shot it. I was afraid it was going to kick like a mule, but it didn't seem any worse than any "normal" 12 ga with high brass loads.

We probably shot 20 rounds or so of mixed 00buck, slugs and bird shot all high brass without issue in function. I was impressed so I bought one.

I've probably got 500 rds. of mixed 12 ga shells and I'm going to take it out soon and put it through it's paces. Well, as much as my getting old self can handle, haha. :)
 
I wonder if the OP's gun will feed minishells. I am partial to bullpups as I have short arms and am not blessed with lots of upper body strength. Price is certainly right.
 
Miracle Man - upon closer look, yours is a tube fed pump. Thought it was an auto. Should be more reliable than the semi-auto, at least with lighter loads. I would be curious as well how it handles mini shells? I know some guys use them in their Kel Tecs, but I haven't heard of any repeating shotgun that is 100% reliable with them. I certainly wouldn't feel under gunned with #4 buck mini shells at across the room distances.

I think Remington 1100's can do the mini shells with a different shell "elevator".

I'm not sure I've ever heard of minishells? I'll have to investigate.

LOL, yes I wasn't even thinking about yours being semi-auto. I'm going to look into minishells.
 
Back in 70s I had a Hi-Std M10 Bullpup 12gauge auto. It was a miserable gun to shoot. I’ll stick with riot gun versions. Much more comfortable and not as clumsy as some of these tactical wonders.

I don't know about the 1100s, but when we got the 12" 870WPs, Remington supplied the guns with a second elevator so that we could use the 1 3/4" minis that they were making back then.

These days the 12" 870WPs and my 14" Mossberg Marinecote 590 all are loaded with the Federal 1 3/4" #4 Buck minis

I have the shorty slugs and #8 bird shot on hand as well

I will bet that the elevator is still available as a part from Remington
