For years I have been loading DEWC's abd HBWC's for my S&W 52 without any problems. I fell into a deal quite a few years back and bought a bought a bunch of bags of cast button nosed WC's (250 bullets to a bag for $2.00). Was thinking of using them in my pistol. Any secrets to using them as lond as I seat them deep enough to fit in the magazine.

I have used hundreds of button nose wc’s in my 52. They have to be seated so the button is flush with the case mouth which puts the WC shoulder below the mouth. They feed fine with a small roll over crimp. I use them for practice, they don’t shoot as accurately as HBWC’s in my pistols.

I load them with the button nose end into the case, leaving the base flush with the case mouth. 2.7 WST makes a great target load.
